Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This place exceeded expectations! I wish that every city had a place just like Hotel Temezcal with a host as kind and caring as Diego.

United KingdomThe staff are excellent. Brilliant communication over the app. Lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Actually took me into (and back from) town when it was late to grab a pizza! Really friendly and invited me to take a temazcal which was incredible. Lovely building with a beautiful mural. The room was cosy and the beds huge. The ‘bunk bed’ is actually a bed on a mezzanine level but the ladder is easy to climb and doesn’t feel like you’ll fall (like regular bunk beds!) extra blankets because it does get cold. Kitchen is well equipped either lots of different teas and coffee. The dogs there are beautiful, rescued street dogs so often accompanied us into town. They wanted some love and pets! One would greet us at our door every morning 🧡

United StatesOur room was a bit small for 2 people.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ecologico Temazcal. Mostly because the hosts and staff were so hospitable and accommodating. The first night there was very cold- because of unusually cold weather. But our hosts made every effort to make us comfortable. It was very convenient that there is a kitchen area so we made breakfast there during our stay, and every evening had tea. The accommodations are modern, clean and attractive. It is a bit of a walk from downtown Creel, but because it is not on the main drag the nights were quiet.

New ZealandIt’s a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. This isn’t really an issue, but it won’t suit everyone. I chose not to walk home alone dark,
The room was warm and has extra blankets if needed. Diego (the host) is great. He picked me up from town when I arrived, and dropped me off when I left. There’s a communal kitchen, but I only used the fridge and the water.

MexicoIf you are not a walker, this may not be the location, but personally, we prefer it because it was much quieter than staying downtown.
Tastefully built, very clean, comfortable property. Quiet location, wonderful art! We chose this place because it would be quieter than staying on the main road and that was a good decision. Yes, you will need to walk 12 minutes to the “central strip“ but I think it’s worth it for the noise factor.if you are a dog person, you will love this, they are beautiful, quiet well behaved dogs very friendly. They will escort you on your walk. The other reason we chose this property is for the kitchen as we wanted to prepare some of our own meals and make our own coffee. This was excellent, the kitchen facility is outstanding. There is a lovely view from some of the rooms, and it’s very peaceful. There is a beautiful energy here, I would recommend it.

SingaporeThe WiFi wasn't working for us at times, but we had mobile data so it wasn't a major issue. Besides, we were already mentally prepared that there would be weak mobile connectivity within the Copper Canyon region. Apart from this, we had a wonderful stay here and would recommend this place for travellers on a budget to Creel.
My wife and I liked the general vibe of this small hotel - very "tranquilo". Rooms are clean and cosy. The shower had good water pressure. Diego also picked us up from the train station at Creel when we arrived on the Chepe train. He also offered to drive us back to the central part of Creel after we checked out, for us to take our bus to Chihuahua. Although the location of this hotel is about 15-20 mins on foot from the central part of Creel (where the plaza is), we had no issues walking. In fact, there were usually 2-4 friendly street dogs that would accompany us on these walks without bothering us. There was also a shared kitchen, which we could use to prepare our own meals. We could buy some fresh produce from a nearby grocery shop <200m away from the hotel.

Very nice place, all necessary installations in the room, hot water, heating, also there's a kitchen at the hotel where one can cook and have tea. The host helped us to get from the train and also to the bus station. The place is a 15-20 minutes walk from the center.
