Roman was extremely helpful! We were having problems with our motorcycle and he went out of his way to help us! The room was roomy, and he brought coffee to our room early in the morning which allowed me to work.

In such a remote and secluded location, we would not have expected such a pleasant, yet sadly deserted place. We were very satisfied – a beautiful setting with unique charm and a caring owner. We felt great throughout our stay. The very kind owner bid us farewell like a true host – walking us all the way to the door. Highly recommended!

The beds were a bit too hard for my liking...

Lovely place in a green oasis, with a nice pool and very friendly owner. The rooms are spacious and appear to.all have direct access to the garden.

Quiet retreat in the middle of a busy city

The property is not in the best condition and could profit from some renovation. For example, there is a garbage dump in the back, with horrible smell hovering over the back side of the pool. There is a nice sitting area that is completely unusable for that reason. I also wonder about the nearby rooms... Fortunately ours was on the other side, so no problem with the smell. The bathroom was extremely small and even though the shower area had a curtain, water splashed on the floor, which got completely wet. Very uncomfortable, what is a pity, because the apartment is quite spacious and if only it was arranged differently, it could be very nice.

This property consists of several apartments scattered in a beautiful tropical garden. In the middle of the city! Amazing. The location is great, walking distance from the city center and the bus station. If you travel by car, there is a secure parking in the gated courtyard. The apartment we stayed in included a living room with a kitchenette, so it was large and comfortable (except for a bathroom). The host, a young gentleman, is extremely friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast consisting of fresh fruits and sweet buns is included in the price.

Tropical surprise in the middle of the town!

A tropical surprise in the middle of the city. Beautiful garden with the pool and our rooms at the side. Parking was great, we had the car in the little square behind the gate. When you arrive you must ring the bell with the cord at the fence, this was not really clear but the neighbor helped us. There were small refrigerators in the rooms so we could keep our drinks cold. Just a 5 minute walk tot the main square / zocalo. We stayed 2 days before Christmas and the town was buzzing with a Christmas fair, lots of music, parades and the church was open for mess and beautiful enlightened. The next morning there was a breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, small breads and coffee and thee, a great way to start the day.

The lighting is bright in the rooms. Maybe get some bedside lamps? Also, could use more decoration. In my opinion it was not a big deal as the gardens and breakfast made up for it totally.

The gardens and pool, seating areas were magical. Roman, the owner of, gave us an excellent, informative, helpful information session about the town. Really made a difference. He was also always there for whatever we needed.

This is not a complaint, but an advise for visitors of Ticul. Ticul is a town where tourists - and restaurants with evening hours, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays - are rare. Ultimately, after searching, only Pizzeria Gondola (and an ice cream shop) turned out to be open from the list we had received from the hostess.

Posada El Jardin is hidden in the town of Ticul. Fortunately, the (very nice) hostess was at the entrance gate, otherwise we would have driven past for a third time. We were able to park the car in a spacious parking lot inside the fence. The rooms are spread out in a beautiful garden, we had room 5. Very quiet, ideal, we slept well. The rooms, with air conditioning, are very simple but neatly clean. To our surprise, we received a delicious breakfast at no extra cost; coffee, fruit juice, fried egg and various pieces of bread. Very good, simple B&B with a very reasonable price for visiting the many Mayan complexes in the area.

Depite best efforts, the property lacks enough cash flow to be finished. There are five or six operational rooms, three or four still in contruction. That is NOT neccesarily bad… you just have to be “calm” about it and consider this is a very poor and small town in the middle of the Yucatan jungle.

Small oasis (in the making) inside a very old 1600’s town. Owner ans creator, just passed away. His very brave son, Roman, is taking care of the small hotel, doing all he can to keep his late farher’s dream operational. Can’t help but feel emphaty and wish luck to young Roman.

The little cabana would have been so much nicer with just a couple inexpensive improvements - colorful material on the sides (the structure is open all around with screens) instead of terrible, old brown curtains; some hooks to hang towels, bathing suits, etc; something to set your bag on. The restaurant was expensive and not very good - but glad it was there!

Loved the location, the pool, the grounds. Very nice being so close to Palenque. The howler monkeys at night were incredible!

The pool could have used a skimming, but there were also many plants around the pool that contributed to that, so it was understandable. There were some ants/spiders plus bugs that flew in when doors were open, which was a little inconvenient, but again understandable considering the area and the large garden.

The property had a super beautiful garden and pool, and we had a very large room with an extra sitting room in front of the bedroom, which was very convenient. The hostess was incredible, and offered us everything we could have possibly asked for. The parking lot was secure, and the stay also included a free breakfast.

A little tricky to find, a clear sign would help a lot.

A sweet little oasis! and Teresa was so kind and helpful with anything we needed. offered us tea and coffee on arrival, and breakfast was good. Don’t be put off by the lack of signage out front, once you enter the gate this place is just lovely!
