Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI wish breakfast was included in the price because it was a little expensive as an extra. Also hope they add lunch or dinner soon.
Initially, I was nervous to book because the hotel is new and didn’t have many reviews. So pleased. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with nine unique rooms. The Neptuno room had a wonderful view of the pool and the ocean, and a large bathroom with two separate sinks. The hotel is a five minute walk down a hill to the beach. The pool was a perfect escape from the heat, the staff was so kind, homemade jams and breads served every morning, and major ocean views. As a solo traveler the staff took care of me and made sure I felt comfortable. I had the chance to use a day pass at the 5-star resort that is a block away, and the experience was totally unimpressive in comparison. Slow service, dirty pool, waiters trying to steal your change…no thanks. Corny, but I can say that Ensueño lives up to its name. It’s luxurious, but not a big hotel with resort vibes, a gym and all that…it’s truly a special place.

United StatesThe bright lights on the palm trees after 10 pm should be dimmed or turned off no later than 10 pm, but they eventually turned them off. Maybe at midnight? Also the shower dispensers needs labeling as I could not tell what was shower gel and which was shampoo. Minor but it would be helpful. Room was a little small, but it worked fine and would prefer a larger refrigerator as I always bring a few things to store to keep cold. Overall it was a nice place to stay. I was grateful that they allowed dogs, but should note my dog is very gentle and quiet and never barks and is extremely well behaved as he is crate trained and knows his place in a hotel. Other guests had dogs that constantly barked which is so disrespectful and not appropriate for a guest to have noisy dogs. Just because a place allows pets doesn't give people a right to disrupt everyone else. Not sure what they can do about it as I would rather have the barking dog than not have my dog allowed to stay. I wish people would be more mindful with there pets as it makes it hard for us who have well behaved non-barking dogs who we travel well and travel with us everywhere. It is very unfortunate that people abuse the privilege or travel with dogs that do not behave in such a setting. Maybe they should kick those people out or fine them if the dog barks in order to keep the place peaceful yet still allow our well behaved furry friends to be there. Also having an ice machine would be helpful, but they did allow us to help ourselves to ice which was fine.
I like the intimacy of this place. It is small and cozy and real close, a short walk, to La Ropa beach. The staff is attentive and well trained and eager to make sure the stay is comfortable. It only has nine rooms which makes it a bit more cozy. They do allow small dogs so I also appreciated that accommodation. Everything was clean and we had a decent view. Bryan at the front desk was especially attentive and helpful. The owner was also very nice and helpful and accommodated our needs well. Enjoyed the lap pool as well.

CanadaClarify with the owner if transportation to and from airport is included. It was a surprise for him that it was listed on the booking, and it ended up being quite a big rigmarole to arrange and made worse by our flight being late. It ended up fine, but we paid for the taxis ourselves.
Beautiful hotel, pool and room. Super convenient location, easy walk to the beach.
