The overall maintenance of pools and common areas were lacking.. Lounge chairs need to be cleaned and there was almost non existent service by the pool. Today was day 3 poolside and finally we were asked by our lounges if wed like.some drinks.

The food was excellent except for Antonios restaurant which was very overpriced. Small portions and aside from dessert it wasnt worth it. Disappointing actually but the rest of the restaurants and food options like breakfast was fabulous and the dinners were also very good at the main restaurant. Mexican style lunches and food were superb.

Although room was clean and comfortable, the marble tops could use a deeper clean to remove the water glass rings.

Applaud the mindful approach to reduce environmental impact, and the friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delectable, showcasing the abundant produce of the region. Off the menu, wonderful selections too; great value. Enjoyed the pool, kayak, snorkel boat tour, yoga and pool aerobics, spa, strolling thru the marina.

Check in was late, however when we asked , they did allow us a later check out! They should paint all the rooms white, that would update them somewhat!

Pool cafe closes too early. Not enough entertainment in hotel. More posting of special events and buffets on certain evenings. Always many little things to fix in the room. Things that maintenance could do before our arrival . Hotel needs some attention.

Buffet breakfasts excellent with great variety. Big Pool, comfortable lounge chairs, new towels Free yoga and water aerobics every day. Generous with Free drinking water and coffee in room. Good quality amenities. Choice of feather or synthetic pillows. Spacious bedrooms. Screens on windows and doors. Excellent view from the pool area and rooms. Gorgeous well kept gardens. Beautiful marina. Very good service almost everywhere.

I reserved 2 rooms for 5 people and I got the rate in advance when I got to the hotel I got charged extra because they said that my reservation on booking was only for 4 people I was very disappointed with booking

It was extremely difficult to get used to which elevators took you wear, and to work on the way through the maze I’ve beautiful architecture. it took me four days to really feel comfortable in finding direct paths to destinations. I enjoyed walking the property and exploring, and all of the staff members were more than happy to put me in the right direction when I got lost or even to go with me to make sure that I I just stood there directions. There are signs posted for the main destinations on the property. but it still took some time to figure out which elevators or stairs to take, and how to wind around the floors to find something. This was not a major problem, but it was a bit disorienting at first. Luckily for me I enjoy exploring, and I knew I was never far from someone who could help me find my destination.

The staff was professional, yet friendly, and extremely approachable, more than willing to been over backwards to help make my stay wonderfully pleasant. I was always great to put a smile that seemed genuine and anything I asked for was immediately made available to me.

One night when the elevator was not working and we had to wait until it was fixed.

The total view from and atmosphere within the hotel. The food and service of it. The room maintenance. The quiet, private pool for adults only. Our tenth floor room with all its amenities, especially a bathtub. The entertainer in the El Faro Lobby Bar. The concierge service. Highly recommend this hotel. Would love to return.

Loved the yoga classes offered with your room and water aerobics. Great teacher! This is a beautiful property. There are many details in the construction that are like beautiful art: I.e . Ceiling details, lobby etc.

They only have to maintain the bathrooms, since the shower has fungus in the gaskets and the water from the shower is thrown away. Some hallways lack maintenance. The boat to go to town should be included
