How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had a soccer team in the hotel and they did not allowed us to bring out side food at the loby and we also ask for permission to cut a cake on the pool area and they also denied the request.. it was very rude and sad

Verified reviewThe cleaning staff was amazing! They always made an effort to clean our room at anytime throughout the day. When asked, they delivered what we needed and quickly. We stood at the Fiesta Americana for a couple of days and our AC did not work. It was awful. Mind u, it’s a much more expensive hotel. The AC worked great at Hotel Guadalajara Plaza Ejectivo. The breakfast offered a large variety of options. It was a true buffet. Eggs, chilequles, veggie options, Rojas con crema, a meat with veggies, fruits, bread, fresh juices…and on! I would stay here again.

The hotel was old and in need of repair and an upgrade. There were stains on the carpet, the bath towels were worn and old. The furniture and fixtures were outdated and in bad condition.

Verified reviewWe stayed for 2 days on our own, and then we had a corporate booking for 2 weeks. With the exception of the location and swimming pool the rest was chaotic. The cleaning staff and reception was super kind to the contrary of management and supervisors. The tour to Tequila was a good suggestion
We paid for a suite upgrade, since it was a long stay and we wanted to be comfortable, but my general feel is that the staff is kind but unhelpful and has a serious communication issue. Specially the managers, they need training ASAP Some of the issues we found: *The first room (on the original reservation) had an AC leak, when they “fixed” it, the AC stopped working. It’s summer and the heat was unbearable. Called the front desk 3 times, they said they’d send someone to fix it, and upon the forth call they informed that it was a “general”problem. Then talking with some colleagues this was a lie. *the WiFi was the worst. For an “executive hotel” you find better connection in the middle of the jungle. *the suite was great in size but the AC units were old and you can tell they didn’t have had maintenance in a while. Everyone ended up coughing and ill. *Pool beds have transversal tubes that jab into your back; *On the second week a big group came to the hotel and the kitchen decided to cancel omelets and some other food because they didn’t have enough personnel. Basically they wanted to charge 15usd for fruit and some basics. after a complaint they finally let our group to have this food if asked individually *Finally, as we had a corporate booking we had some $ to expend on food, but we couldn’t have it delivered to our room. Nobody understood why was this and was super tedious. In fact one night the manager asked me if I was eating the food or my husband. How dare she asked me that? Overall, if you can, find a better option

Room was needing an upgrade, carpets were disgusting, many soft sunken areas in the floor. The pool was filthy, had a horrible floating layer of dirt and oil on top. The pool lounge chairs where very old and beaten up, couldn’t sit on them too uncomfortable.

Verified reviewWe were welcomed upon arrival and found the concierge very informative about the area and speaking English was a bonus for us Canadians! The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of options and the restaurant staff were excellent and very friendly. My husband loved the omelettes! The housekeeping staff went out of their way to accommodate anything I asked for and checked daily on what we needed. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the outdoor pool which is a lovely peaceful area surrounded by lovely landscaping. A bonus for us was the bus stop across the street for a direct ride to the downtown historic district and then access to the Light Rail system. There is an excellent City Market across the street.
