Absolutely amazing experience at this hacienda. The setting in the jungle is truly unique. We had never been anywhere like it. The buildings are beautiful and have a lot of history. The room itself was lovely, really spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and smelled really nice. The staff is lovely and welcoming and we enjoyed our meals at the restaurant. The pool area is gorgeous. There's a lot of nature around and this place seems perfectly in harmony with it. A clear highlight of our trip.

Though our room was very clean the communal lounges , and dining area was full of cobwebs and walls had lizard droppings. in some ways it’s very Indiana Jones meets Miss Haversham which is part of its charm

absolutely beautiful in stunning grounds where the jungle threatens to take over the house. unique in every way. wonderful rooms in the original servants quarters with huge comfortable beds good wifi and marvellous bathrooms. The staff are all friendly and very kind. We both had massages in the spa and they were the best I’ve ever had

It's in need of some serious maintenance and repair. The pool wasn't filtering and was constantly covered in debris, only two lounge chairs had cushions, our air conditioner leaked and my child slipped and fell because of the water. Even though we were one of two guests during the stay, service was essentially non-existent and cocktails take 45 minutes.

Amazing location and a potentially beautiful property. As much as I enjoyed elements of the stay, it was unfortunately striking out most of the time.

However I believe that for the price you pay you lack many things. The rooms are nice but not very furnished with 5* equipment. They are not clean and full of enormous spiders (inside the bed as well). The doors do not close properly, the bathtub outside seems very pleasant but doesn’t have enough hot water to be filled, the swimming pool is amazing but not clean, the service is nice but very very slow. So mixed feeling because for the price you pay you expect things to be perfect and they are really not. But the location is stunning.

Well this hotel left me with mixed feelings. The location is truly unique, lost in the middle of the jungle. It has a history too and the buildings are absolutely stunning as is the swimming pool. Very nice staff.

This was our third trip to Uayamon and it looks like the current owner is not really taking care of the property and certainly not maintaining the same level of cleanliness as prior visits. The pool was dirty and we had to ask to have them clean it twice. There was animal feces under one of the lunges which I pointed out to one of the crew in a morning swim and when I returned some 8 hours later for an afternoon swim, it was still there. The buildings had what seemed like more new mold, white, which I did not remember from before and there were debris on the top of walls in the bathroom which I had not remember from the first visit. Sadly, some of the wonderful details that made this place remarkable wore off this third time. I am sad to write, we may not return to Uayamon.

The location, grounds, bedding, amenities are amazing. Really wonderful place. We took a 1 hr birding tour on the property and it was amazing, the guide was just wonderful. That was the highlight of the trip.
