The heat in the room. Not enough air to keep the room cool. Invest in more fans.

The beds are comfortable, the only issue it was very hot. One small ceiling fan during the day wasn't enough for the heat. During the ac hours a little better but the air wasn't reaching where my bed was located. I would stay again but during a different season.

very narrow, and small. The kitchen downstairs is not welcoming to use. The one upstairs is on the 4th floor… the nice stuff is loud. Since it’s so small, you don’t have a place to have a peaceful phone conversation, without loud music or conversation, that the stuff has between themselves. They turn the ac very early in the morning, when everyone is still busy waking up going to breakfast etc,and is using the room still.

Nice place, comfortable bed with curtains for privacy. Bathroom inside the dorm which is a big plus .nice breakfast.

    nothing really

Nice new Hostel with welcoming social vibe, I felt welcome here and kindness from all staff and owner of the place, made some new friends , the overall staff creates a place where people do socialize with each other so this place is great when you travel alone and are happy to make new friends also they allowed me early check in as they had availability which I did appreciate a lot I recommend this place whole heartedly

The towels were a weird cotton.

Getting to know Homero was the highlight. It's a great hostel with an amazing vibe. The guests were so cool and respectful. I loved going up to the roof at night and gazing at the stars.

My first time in Mexico and I couldn't have started this adventure with the greatest experience of all You are staying at Hom boutique Everything is extremely perfect, from the friendliness of the staff who make us feel like we are part of family, to the comfort of the mattresses at breakfast! 💚 Everything is incredible

Italian shower in the bathroom makes it all wet when someone takes a showering. But that’s a detail.

Extremely nice staff, clean, modern and minimalistic.

Common areas and bathrooms are too small for the people staying, the bathroom could use a few more hangers for the towels.

The hostel is nice and quiet. The owner and the staff were very nice and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. Location is good, close to 5th Avenida but without all the noise.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at so far. The concept is well thought out and perfectly tailored to the needs of the guests. Whether it's the free towels, the plugs and lights right by the bed, the large lockers with locks, or the excellent breakfast with options for everyone, including vegan choices. And the best part: the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you have the best possible stay. If you're coming to Playa del Carmen, you absolutely have to stay here!

The air-conditioning is off every day between 9am and 9pm It's very hot in Playa Del Carmen their was a small ceiling fan in the room but the room really needs fans until the air conditioner is back on

I liked the dorm room it was cozy and I liked the blanket on the bed the staff was excellent and helped me with my luggage upstairs also the location was near the beach and lot's of restaurants and not far from Walmart and ADO was close to the hostel also breakfast was free

My only suggestion to the owner is to fix the AC issue in the room that I stayed in which I think was on the third floor. Everything else is great

This is a brand new hostel, it's only a few months old, the owner is very experienced and welcoming. The breakfast is a good one with fresh fruit. It's very close to everything you need to have. The beds are so far very comfortable, but the room did get very hot.

Most hostels have this rule - they turn the AC on very low, the room gets very cold overnight ( and you can’t control the temperature ) yes, they have blanket and in general it was ok for sleeping- but one of the girl in the room already was sick from the cold and coughed all night, which made it very difficult to sleep

The Hostel is new and all furniture also new and comfortable in our dorm for 6 people we have own bathroom, towels included in price I like big lockers in the room with locker - easy to keep your staff ( but not bag , of course ) The bed was comfortable enough small common area has small table, and really small kitchen ( but you still can cook something simple to eat). Drinkable water available all the time Rooms on the first floor were very quite during evening and night The staff was welcoming

Everything but the dorm was very compacted and tiny—the kitchen, eating area and pool. The pool was very small, the size of a large hot tub, but it would cool you off. Most chairs are made from railroad ties, so are not comfortable. The cleaning gal, who was temporary, did not do a very good job. The beach is too far for me to walk in the heat,as I am 75; but probably fine for the younger traveler.

The property owners worked very hard to please all travelers and to keep the hostel top notch. The daily free breakfast was very filling. There was always 3-4 kinds of cereal, daily fresh fruit, toast, jellies and peanut butter. I appreciated free coffee and water all day. The dorm room was nice and the dorm bathroom was not tiny. The rooftop was a great place to relax, take in the evening air or make a phone call. The property appeared newly refurbished.

really can't come up with anything im not satisfied with this place...

Cheap, with towel, shampoo and duvet, Nice location, with public bycicle station at the same block, Quiet, not close to any club, also not that kind of pool DJ party vibe, they got large table at balcony, people gathering around after sunset, chatting having snacks and playing music together, super chill and friendly Honestly thats all what I am asking from a hostel, it will be my only stay in pdc

Reception area is a little cosy but there is so much room on the roof that you won’t feel it.

There is checkout at midday which is a little later than most. The owners were a delight, very accommodating. The hostel is new so it’s clean and has been refurbished to a nice standard.

Being on the first floor and bottom bunk it was hard sometimes to find proper place to dry clothes. I did not always have energy to walk up to the roof top it would be nice to have somewhere else to dry clothes but easy fix! Nothing else to say.

I really enjoyed the location it was near a lot of food options or a quick walk to the beach. In addition to that, everything was clean, the mattress was comfy, and the chargers by the bed was a really nice touch. I really enjoyed that I could work from the rooftop or chill with my legs in the pool to work. The breakfast every morning was a nice touch plus I could connect with other travelers. I really enjoyed that the cleaners cleaned the bathroom daily and, it felt extremely safe.

Just a few suggestions to have better tables for dining and maybe make cleaning time some time around 12nn just to avoid being disturbed in the morning

I like how clean it was, it’s in a good and peaceful location and appreciate the community the hostel has. Everyone was really nice and friendly except for one guest who’s very rude and doesn’t know how to mind his own business.

Perhaps only thing that could be different is that breakfast starts at 09:00h which can be a bit late for those who want to start the day early or take some tours.

comfortable beds, clean rooms and bathrooms, they offer towels (many hostels around Mexico do not and for me is a plus), there is a rooftop. The kitchen and breakfast area are a bit small so sometimes is hard to fit all in there, but they tried to do the best put of the space the had. I wonder if would be an idea to have breakfast at the rooftop? Small cute swimming pool pool to get refreshed. Staff is very nice and kind too!!!

I did not cook, but saw that the kitchen area is very small. One person at a time with only a small refrigerator. The area to hang out on the entry floor is also small. There is however a terrace and rooftop for more people to congregate.

HOM is a new, modern, comfortable, non-party hostel. It is a convenient location to the main ADO, with many good restaurants close by. They have paid attention to detail; nice quality linens, toilet paper, matresses, etc. It is very clean. As it is new, each day there was a new surprise, for example hanging plants showed up one day and the name on the Hostel door, which made it easier to locate. Also, a TV in the main area. The air condition comes on approximately 9pm-9am. If you stay on the first floor, it is relatively cool with just the fan during the day. Higher floors can get stuffy and warmer. Some dorms have curtains, and some do not, so check the room, if that is a priority to you.
