Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It is impossible to prevent noise because of the design of rooms. I have seen some bugs but not much.
Overall, it is a good hostel for its price. The hostel is super clean and they clean everywhere everyday.

Just note that the privacy is limited and one can hear all sounds of others as the wall does not reach the ceiling, but the last part is mosquito netting that connects the room to the hallway

I had a bad experience with the beds, very uncomfortable. The private rooms let other guests feel they had privacy and feel as if they could talk as loud as they wanted without bothering anyone... this would happen at all hours of the night (this is very much not a sound proof hostel). Although this was just my bad experience, not necessarily the hostel's fault.
This hostel is in a great location and for a great price! All the amenities were clean and the environment was comfortable.

Wasn’t the sort of hostel to link up with other travellers, if that’s what your looking for probably look elsewhere
Everything was great just didn’t have any vibe to it or character, very clean, had hot water for most of the stay was there 4 nights price was really good self contained rooms if you don’t want to interact with people perfect for you

It was extremely hot in our room. The fan wasn't sufficient. Room was so tiny and without window, so we didin't have fresh air or draft. Someone tried sleeping in common area in hammock- there was little colder. We didn't have place to put our suitcases. There was only one small table in the room.
Very clean place, access to the kitchen, fridge, etc. Friendly staff, perfect location- just 5 min walk distance from the main square in Valladolid, Free (but limited) parking on the street just in front of the entrance. Cheap!

Just like the other reviews mention, you hear everything from other rooms. If one anti-social person decides to watch instagram reels in his room with the volume on at 23:00 pm, you’ll be the one that has to go knock on his door (and hope he’ll stop doing it).
Good location. One of the cheapest places to stay in Valladolid.

The staff did not speak English. Couldn't help with transit, tours, places to visit etc
It was nice place overall. The bedding was very thin and lumpy pullow

Really loud staff i.e. sleeping and you hear the staff giggle and laugh as if they were at a comedy club. Loud rude patrons from time to time that ignore quiet hours. Staff will do nothing to stop them.

Water was not always running. Really thin walls and rooms with large openings above the door, so it was noisy

There is zero sound proof or light proof. Any lights on in other rooms can be seen from the room itself and any noise is heard. The room was very small for 2 people and there wasn’t much space to put bags and spread out stuff.
Location is good. Kitchen was well equipped. Bathrooms and showers and communal areas were kept very clean.

It is extremely noisy because the walls are open on top so you can hear everything!! Furthermore the sheets are old and have holes in them

It really is noisy - particularly in the morning. No issue if you’re getting up early yourself. Suggestion for the hostal is to add signs in rooms and shared spaces reminding people to be quiet

The room was very tiny and we got the very first one which was right near the front desk and road, so a bit noisy, but at least it was on the ground floor and only for one night, and in truth it wasn't too bad for us but I imagine it could be.
It's not far from the lovely center. It felt like a good value for what we paid and what we got. There's a great cafe/ restaurant nearby La Rua ♡♡♡
