It was clean and organized.

Close to the city centre, the swimming pool was very relaxing and the host was really gentle.

The location was great! About 7 blocks from the Plaza Grande. On the same block just a short walk is a mercado or market and a few places to eat. The staff was great. I actually enjoyed the staff, location, long-term guests and "the vibe" of the hostal.

My only problem was that there is no place to get cool during the day when the Mexican summer can be intense. The 6-bed dorm is the only room with an air conditioner and they only allow usage from 9 PM to 9 AM. During the hottest part of the day it is quite hot there. HOWEVER with that said, I still enjoyed the hostal enough that I have booked a 3 month return trip in August. There is a pool to help cool down. I want to make it clear, I really liked this hostal. I just wanted to share an honest review of the only negative about the place.

very nice common area at the pool, to play the guitar, drink a beer and chill, another area with pools which is cool too! My private room was small but good for the price + breakfast for the price included, 20min walk from the main spots

The staff was always very helpful and everytime something went wrong they tried to fix the problems as possible. Nice fruit breakfast

The problem for us was that there actually were too many problems. It felt like a sad place, some people living there and drinking alchool regularly on the comune space, in general I’d say it didn’t have a nice energy. Very small kitchen

The only stuff I was not pleased was a guy at the reception. I will mention only one thing: they don’t give you a key, nor for the room nor for the locker. I have visited many hostels and they at least give you a locker which you can lock but here it was wide open and it is México, I mean when I asked the guy at the reception is it safe to leave my stuff like this, he couldn’t even assure me or answer me with confidence, and told me he can not give me any key even though other tenants were having a key. Next day he just ignored me. Overall I recommend just add some more $$$ and book another hotel

Easy to find from the ADO bus station. Straight walk up to the main square more or less.

Good location, nice food options nearby, friendly staff, the travellers and people staying at the hostel are also very social. The breakfast is good
