I was there in January. The room was cold but it seems like people do like it that way. They did adjust the air conditioner after I spoke with them - so that is great. One night there was loud music going on until 3am but I was ok with it.

Staff was very friendly. Location was close to the beach and to the ADO bus station. The kitchen area was clean - they offered free tea and filtered water. The rooms were clean and had lockers. I felt safe.

Stayed here only for one night to be close to Cancun Airport. Nothing too special about this hostel. Have stayed in much better Che hostels. Staff is very helpful and polite. Location is close to the beach which a plus.

It is a party hostel so keep that in mind when you book. A lot of people staying are very respectful so if you're staying in a dorm just be prepared that people will be coming in late, but also they stay quiet. Would suggest some more areas to dry clothes - it is quite humid and after water activities, I never felt like my clothes ever really got dry

The location of the hostel is great! and the staff put in a lot of effort to organise community events and a social/party vibe. I booked a week before arrival and managed to get decent rates ahead of the high season (NYE). I liked the efficiency of the bracelet so that you're able to just pay on check out, and the free water refills in the kitchen. The people who stayed are great as well!

Our bathroom in the room was very stinky.

I was happy they had free coffee and the kitchen was super well kept. Staff was amazing particularly Charly who was working on nights and always greeted us with a smile, and even helped me with some Spanish lessons!

Canceled tours last min when I extended a day especially for this - otherwise I would have moved on. Waiting at the bar for activity to start and it didn't go ahead. Nice in-house food though and good vibes. Was a nice hostel. I would stay there again if visiting Playa on a hostel visit.

A nice hostel, I stayed in a private room which was in a cute garden-like aesthetic. Clean and tidy, very comfy bed. The staff try to put activities and tours on daily but if not enough people sign up then they are cancelled. Very small kitchen for cooking, but so many good restaurants in Playa you wouldn't want to eat at home! Safe space and feels community vibes. Helpful staff.

keep in mind that this is party hostel, if you don't want to hear the music blasting from the rooftop till late at night, ask for a downstair room and you'll be fine.

A good walking distance to the beach and all main areas of playa del carmen, the animation on the rooftop was good and the staff was incredibly nice and eager to help me book for my excursion.

I didn't like the rooms too much..i stayed in a 10 bed dorm.i would say it is OK for a hostel but not really nice Unfortunately the handle of the door didn't work plus we had mold in the rooms, toilet and inside the looker were you leave your stuff..if you look for a party hostel you are right here, cause of the roof top and the location. If you look for something more nice and more individual probably not. For the tours I enjoyed that the offered was lot but i would have wished for maye better overviews of the possible tours (online eg) I still enjoyed my stay.

Just small things really - I wouldn’t stay in a 10 bed room again, it was far too hot (maybe consider leaving the air con on for larger rooms, to give them time to cool down). The bath mat needed changing everyday as it got dirty, and the bin in the toilet could do with a lid.

This hostel is really good if you’re a solo traveller, they host loads of events and trips that you get involved with and meet people. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool and bar area are good, and the hostel is on a good central location, near the beach.

Rooms are too noisy due to bad noise insulation. A single room is not worth it for one person. Way too expensive as it is always the same price (no matter if only one person or four people are sleeping in there). You have to pay an extra fee (around 5%), if you want to pay with card. You have to "request" that you room gets cleaned. Otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Staff were constantly in the kitchen area so that it was difficult for guests to cook and the staff hijacked both fridges . The staff also smoked with the entry doors wide open and the cigarette smoke drifted into the area with the couch . Basically , the staff needs to be more courteous towards the guests and not treat the hostel as if it’s some kind of clubhouse for them .

The whole stay . That’s why I booked an additional 14 days on top of the original 17 days . Good staff . Good beds.

Staff were fantastic lots of activities and as a solo traveller it was great because you got to know heaps of people. Great atmosphere. Lovely people and rooms were very clean. Also luggage storage option which made things easy.

Only one dislike - I rented one of the private apartments next door to the main hostel building and Wi-Fi was hopeless. Having to go to main reception was inconvenient if you are working or just want to contact friends and family from privacy of your own apartment.

If you do not care for the hostel activities and plan to go on your own adventures, there are cheaper and nicer places to stay at. Rooms are hot with AC only runing at night, set on 25° C

Camila and Paloma were amazing at entertaining us every day and night! They were fun, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. From dancing and party games, to beach excursions, they were always ready to offer the hostel guests a fun experience. Without them, the rating for the stay would surely be much lower. Other hostels we stayed at had staff for daily activities and they were nice people, but didn't add much value or bring the sort of energy we had the pleasure to experience at Che. Also, location is perfect, close to everything you need including beach, bus station, and many affordable, open late, delicious restaurants.

I had a brief stay at the hostel, just one night. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the ADO terminal is conveniently a 5-minute walk away. The shared room was clean. The bathroom, while not exceptional but met my needs for the short stay.
