Everything was fantastic, however, the bathrooms could modernised to improve the quality of the stay.

Hosteria del Frayle is in an incredible location in the centre of Guanajuato and within walking distance of main attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful.

After check-in, we noticed the floor to the two-bedroom suite was dirty. It had not been swept or mopped, but the staff was quick to address the situation. One of the bathrooms was extremely humid and the ceiling was full of mold. Lastly the WiFi was basically non-existent.

EXCELLENT location! The staff was very helpful and the size of the room was great to accommodate our party of five. The room was decorated to feel like we traveled in time and it was lovely.

Although uncommon, it would’ve been nice to have A/C considering it’s a hotel. The rooms closer to the street have a great view but it gets very noisy at night.

Location is immaculate, views from the 4th story windows are awesome. Overall hotel has a lot of history and is beautiful inside.

There was a slight odor coming from the bathroom drain, and you can hear other guests arriving or talking in the hallways, but it wasn't really a problem, especially considering it's a party town.

Very nice, picturesque place in the center of town. The bed was comfy, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff is attentive 24 hours of the day. The price is great for the location, with everything being accesible by foot and just a few minutes from where all the events happen. Despite it being so well located, there was no noise coming in from the street, I was impressed by this.

I always like coffee in the morning. Ideally a small pot in the room or at least coffee available in the lobby. Neither was available.

This hotel is in a great location. Just a very short walk up a side street from the main square and the theatre. It has a historical vibe and we spent time in a small garden in the evenings. There is a great Italian restaurant with access from the hotel lobby. My requirements to say a hotel is comfortable is a hot shower and clean white sheets. This hotel had both.

1. Despite having multiple wifi names, not a one of them worked, even after using the passwords over and over. 2. The shower had NO hot water. I understand that some places don't have hot water, but it would have been nice to know that up front.

The street noise is a bit much! At first I was disappointed we didn’t have an exterior window unit, then at night I realized it was a blessing!

We had read it was close to bars however it didn’t specify a late night dance club that was very loud until at least 2AM - our room did not have hot water

Charming colonial architecture - restaurant was convenient and great pizza and staff Easy check in/out - Javier was fantastic in helping us with our bags and the off site parking

Since its very near the important activities there is a lot of noise from bars and restaurants outside. Our second day there was a group of people yelling, whistling and going up and down the stairs at midnight, we were trying t sleep byt it became really annoying.

There’s no parking at the hotel or near it, your best option would be to park in the public parking behind Teatro Juarez (a dollar per hour) If you are a heavy sleeper you’ll have no problem, but if you’re not: BEWARE, not only it’s the mariachi plaza a minute away, but literally right in front, not only on the weekends (you can see it from the window) there is a whole street full of bars that play VERY loud music all night We stayed in two different rooms, one was with two queen beds and it DOESN’T LOCK, we tried every way, but when you closed it it kinda got stuck but you did not need the key to open it, you can just push it and it opens, fortunately nothing bad happened and we did tell the staff, I’m unsure if they took care of it.

Price and location are the best thing, it’s one minute away from a Mariachi Plaza and Teatro Juarez It has a pharmacy, convenience store, Starbucks, bars, and restaurants right there They kept our bags safe for hours before check-in time, staff was very nice and helpful I was worried about the hot water in the shower, since I read in previous comments that there was none, but there was! (Only at night, not in the mornings) We just booked one night (Thursday) and we liked it so much re decided to star another night (Friday) We would will definitely be staying there when going back! Highly recommended!
