The staff at the pool restaurant were very slow and not very pleasant. They were not well supplied and they ask if we wanted the check before we were ready to leave.

The resort is "tired". Many little things need repair.

The young waiter at the pool and at the breakfast was horrible. It took too long to get our food and the orders were always wrong. He seemed to have a poor attitude. The soundproofing for the rooms was awful. We could hear everything in the hallway and in the next rooms.

The view from the room of the bay and pool were lovely. The room was clean and had good light. The maids were very sweet and thoughtful.

The restaurant needs help! The bar did OK. For example, our first meal went off without a hitch and I had ceviche, and it was excellent. Later that evening we tried to eat there again, and nobody would even look at us as all the tables around us were served. We left shaking our heads. Very strange and hard not to take personally. The next time we tried they took our order, but the food never showed. In four attempts to eat, we only ate once. We just stopped eating there to avoid the frustration. Both the bar and restaurant were too expensive for what you got.

We really enjoyed our stay LBGR&S and would return. The beach is very nice, quiet, and clean. Always felt safe and enjoyed our daily walks down the beach. Our room was very nice and clean and well kept. The grounds were well maintained and very scenic. We have traveled the world and found LBGR&S to be a good value for the money! We would not normally talk about returning to any destination; however, we would return here. On Booking.com this place is rated as 5-Star but not even close. More like a 3.5 to 4.0.

Room itself smelled, when we checked in (like it has not been used for a long time). Opening the balcony door for an hour much improved the smell. Maybe think about ventilating the rooms before guests arrive. This is a small thing to do and helps so much. Also, the room could have been cleaner.

We experience an almost empty hotel. The hotel complex is nice, with its own private beach. Napolo is a calm, peaceful touristy area. Not in Loreto but a 15 Minute drive away. Staff was welcoming and friendly. For the price, it was good. Location with private beach and outside resort character really made it. I do not understand all the bad review. For 100 USD a night, you cannot expect a perfectly polished 5-star-resort. Because of all the bad revies, I was hesitant to book this place but ended up really liking it.

Lacked supplies at the restaurant —no rice, limited menu. Poor service at breakfast —forgot hash browns. Excellent service for lunch and dinner. It seemed to be hit and miss with food supplies. Hotel seemed to be lacking in management. Our outdoor jacuzzi was dirty and had puddles of undrained water. Bathroom toilet leaked water all over the floor and took two days to fix. We were finally moved to a different room but it took four visits to the front desk and we never were able to speak to a manager.

The water does not get warm in the shower. The restaurant does not open on time for breakfast which caused us to almost miss our outing in Loreto

As I mentioned in a previous review, the shower was only "luke warm" at best. A hot shower would have been greatly appreciated... and the place was NOT full so there was no competition for hot water... just turned down too low?

January is considered their part of their "season," yet despite the nighttime cold (50 degrees F), there was no heat in the room, the swimming pools were not heated, the hot tub was not hot and hot water was at a premium. Additionally, the restaurant was outdoors with no heaters, so we never ate dinner in it.

The resort is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful and helpful.

The only issue I had was the communication and service from the reception staff. Not very helpful. Also, we were trying to get information on activities and renting a golf cart and they didn't seem to know much. I was there 5 days and honestly didn't do much in the facility.

The location is great! Beautiful beach and view from my room was amazing. The restaurant food was actually good and the service was great. Room was very clean and spacious. Everything worked fine, including hot water.

Cold showers, no heater.

Lovely location, amazing view of the beach and the Sea of Cortez. The hotel seems to be getting a bit dated and sidewalks and walkways are falling apart (especially out back). The biggest gripe we had was we could NOT get a hot shower. We bought a shower curtain to try to retain what little bit of warmth and heat in the shower. The place was mostly EMPTY so there is NO excuse for not being able to turn up the water heater. I think they must have it turned down to save money. Also, there is an A/C mini-split but NO heater, which I know is not normally a problem in Loreto... but we sat in our cold room, and after a day of boating/fishing, should not even warm up with a shower. Ugh.

The pool and jacuzzi could be much better. The pool bar/ food needs a better selection and have more available for guests.

Not very many amenities. Some of the restaurants were always closed. Our balcony was too small to use. Some of the other guests said that they did not have hot water.

The pools looked super nice but they were unheated and cold especially the children pool which was disappointing since then what's the point. The hot tub was also in need of repairs/ water level not constant and had to ask front desk to turn the heat on every time you wanted to use it and took a good 15min to get warm. You weren't allowed to walk along the golf course path or even for kids to play on a beautiful calm and secluded beach beyond the front of the property for "safety" reasons. Security quickly hushed all "trespassers" off. No microwave to use on the entire property.

The location of the hotel on the beach and the general tourist area can't be beat. It was great to have free guarded parking. Rooms were basic but provided awesome beach views and had a tiny balcony. Also the cabanas and beach chairs were nice to have to use. Staff spoke relatively good English

Very nice resort with a great beach and pools. Great restaurants within walking distance. Kind staff. Nicely appointed rooms with very generous size showers and bathrooms.
