The place is old and they don't try at all to update. The towel they gave me seemed 20+ years.

The pillows were hard, old, like rocks.

I had a place to park my car.

When you miss the last bus back to CDMX and need a place to crash, this place absolutely serves that purpose. Adequate and safe.

Yes, it is cheap, but it is still overpriced.

First, the picture on the Web of their pool is nonsense. There is no pool. Second, it is not that it is so dirty--and it is not clean--but that it is in such bad repair. The one chair in my room was broken. A mirror had been ripped out from above the sink, and the adhesive was still visible. They recognized that the cover for the light switch in the bathroom was broken and encouraged me to stick my finger in the switch box in order to fiddle with the switch among loose wires--and this in a wet location! I tried exchanging the dead batteries in one of the remote controls, and they just gave me back the dead ones. The information I got from them (like available taxi service) was just wrong. Is this what another reviewer called "helpful"?

a hilly green city that is livable with an ideal climate..not too hot, quite dry

no armchairs..but still, a nice open space...the bathroom is a stepup box ..and the tile is very slippery , door treshhold and just the step below..put a varathane or epoxy treatment with sand to make those 2 areas at least , slip proof...very dangerous especially when you have wet feet fresh out of the shower

Sandborns across the street on Juarez..or a small breakfast place on the street I see fr om my room..the side street and nice takeout fruit bowls for sale for 30 pesos on the street a mere 100 m from thev hotel, across the street from Sandborns..Sandborns is a peaceful place..their full breakfast is 179 pesos. i tripped at night on the frickn irregular sidewalk and baskhed my cheek , hand and knee but the lady at the front desk, on the night shift, disinfected the wound with alcool..thanks for that..give her a bonus..

the sidewalk coming down the hill is kind of irregular so be careful..I tripped and landed on my way..More good street food at the Main Square Zocalo..be sure to see the Brady Museum up the hill..a 10 minute walk.

No breakfast at hotel but one across the street...very clean but not much other than the Kingsize bed , in terms of creature conforts..chairs, sofa...TV also could not get it to work..remotes seemed broken or something..I mentionned it. Zocalo is a 5 minute walk up the hill..lots of fruit vendo9rs nearby and across from a Sandborns that has a swell full breakfast for 179$
