How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe Capsule hotel is basic, you get a clean capsule, with one bottom sheet and a blanket and fresh towel which you can exchange anytime for a fresh one. The staff are friendly. There is a common room which is the entrance where you can get coffee and tea and make waffles if you want. For a basic one-two nights its fine, but i wouldn't stay longer. There is a teeny fridge you can store one thing in if you need to. You can make hot water in the kitchen area. There are cutlery and plates to use if you are bringing food back to eat at the hostel.
The toilets/bathrooms were disgustingly gross, so dirty. The black hair covering the floor was never swept, the toilets inside rubbish bins was usually overflowing with used papers, the basins and benches were always dirty and there is no hot water. The shower cubicle in the ladies was disgusting also, hair in the drain which was there all three days i stayed, and unclean walls and floors. Wear flipflops and don't look too closely haha, DO NOT expect TO HAVE A HOT SHOWER as the water is cold. Also i wanted to wash my hair but the thin stream of water was so thin it took ages just to wash the shampoo out, in cold water. AS a capsule hotel it is going to be noisy at night, specially on the weekend with people coming in at 2am from being out partying, but it is pretty quiet in the weekdays. There is cupboard space for each capsule for a small bag, but not very big, i had to put my suitcases into the capsule with me. The location is not very close to town so you have to walk many blocks, or catch an Uber. Overall, id give this place a 5 mainly because of the dirty bathrooms and no hot water.

Verified reviewThe style of the beds is cool and well thought. Like a dorm, but with a lot more privacy and safety (each bed door locks) and amenities such as smart tv, plugs, lights, ac... inside each capsule. Free breakfast is a good plus!
The bathrooms are divided into male and female, but were dirty most of the time (sinks, showers, toilets).

Verified reviewThe capsules are a really cool experience with sick light settings, tv and personal AC. Unlimited waffles/coffee/tea was nice for only 50$. Kinda social and staff are helpful. Someone in reception 24/7 which is a + . Very close to an Oxxo and in a nice area (even though not THAT close to the center nor restaurants/bars, 25min walk to ado). Would stay again!
The capsules are very plastic-y and therefore noisy. The lock in the capsule did not work, even if you locked it you could open the door. Soooo cold in the night even with the AC off. Also cold in the reception/kitchen area -we were wearing hoodies all the time in the hotel. Bathrooms pretty dirty and always out of soap :/ I asked the staff one morning if they could make some more coffee as it was finished, they just added water without changing the coffee powder, which you can guess was not that tasty for my 50$.

Verified reviewThe Kapsul pods were fun, a unique place to stay and fully air conned so we were never too hot or too cold. Staff were friendly and helpful and changed towels daily
There was no running hot water so had to take a cold shower (the women’s toilet seemed to have hot water though so unsure what happened there) It was abit further to the main square than we originally thought, I would say it’s averaged 15 min walk to plaza grande

Verified reviewGood location, the capsules where ok
Lots of noise during the night that kept me waking up, the bathroom had a bad smell all the time since they don't have a good ventilation plus there was no soap or shampoo.

Verified reviewThere was comfort with stay. The staff was friendly but a little off putting.
This place called The Kapsul Hotel. The space is simply to small. It's really a crawl space. You have to enter a small door. Its really a 3ft by 6ft space not a hotel room at all. You can not stand up in this space!

Verified reviewHot breakfast. Waffle and Coffee.
The room is the size of a coffin. A casket when you die and are dead. There is only enough room to lay out flat as if it is your funeral. To be honest this 'hotel' room is really a double wide casket or coffin.

Verified reviewThe location was great. The value for money was alright. It cost me 33 Cdn per night and for triple that I am getting immeasurably more in a full service hotel. The staff were friendly and kind.
No hot water. One towel for three days. A sheet but no blanket. Other people made noise, and i was very self conscious of any noise I made. It was difficult and in fact painful to get in and out of my pod. My mattress was thin and worn and fully compressed under my weight, causing my hip to hurt. The bathroom was smelly.

Verified reviewThe capsules themselves are comfortable to sleep in & it was the only place available for our dates that was cheap enough.
Wouldn’t stay here again. The bathrooms are dirty & have an awful smell coming from them. The staff are unhelpful. There’s only 1 small locker each to fit your bags in, which is no use when you have 2 bags for 2 people. The a/c didn’t work very well in our capsule so it was often quite claustrophobic. Theres only 1 USB inside the capsule for charging, which is pretty useless when they’re designed for two.
