Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThis place could use a bit of TLC. It's a huge hotel, and some of the wings appear to be abandoned. It's a bit rundown, but all of Acapulco seems a bit rundown.
This classic Acapulco hotel is a little run down, but it has a great location overlooking La Quebrada where the cliff divers perform. It's part of Acapulco's history - check out the Wall of Fame in the restaurant, with pictures of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra from the hotel's heyday. It has great views of the cliff divers, which I had never seen before. I thought it might be a bit cheesy, but it's actually awesome to see and we were glad to be there - we watched all five of the daily shows. There are two fresh water pools that are clean and well-maintained, and they've walled in a section of the sea where you can swim in relatively safety while huge waves crash on the seawalls.

United StatesThe food wasn't great and the food & drinks were pricey. The location would make it hard to go anywhere else in Acapulco.
Our stay was a good deal since it was off-season. The room was very large and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I really enjoyed the three swimming pools and the large terrace overlooking the bay at the upper pool. It was nice to be on-site for the cliff divers. Most of the staff was very nice. It was fun to stay in a place that used to be one of the premier hotels in Acapulco!

This is all about location. If you want to see the cliff divers, this is where you stay, period. Security guards were very helpful. Food in the restaurant was wonderful, highly recommend the Ceasar salad con camerones. Million dollar views everywhere.

CanadaThere weso many stairsto walk up and down . It was 230 stairs down to the salt water pool and then of course going up all those stairs to get back t our room . So people with mobility issues .. this place is not for you . - could use a bigger TV with Netflix . the tv is 32 inches - has no coffee maker - wifi only works in lobby and you have to keep re -signing in . Only 2 large towels , no hand towels it is advisable to get a room with the breakfast included unless you don’t mind walking down and up a steep hill to get to restaurants . There are a couple of restaurants closer but have really loud music .
The property has a beautiful view of the ocean and cliffs . And you can watch the cliff divers from a few spots of the hotel . The pools are clean . The salt water pool is down by the ocean and it is basically an area where ocean waves go through the cracks of the rocks and over rocks . so the natural sea water pool has fish swimming around in it with you . The staff are very nice , and very helpful . a couple of them spoke English . Our room was clean . There is a bar fridge in it . It had a balcony with a beautiful view . Comfortable bed and pillows . Has a walk in closet with good storage space - has a safe - has good air conditioning and a ceiling fan

United StatesPoor service, we were at this place last year and it was very nice. The people were friendly. This time, we checked in and tried to go into the pool. I was told there were no towels available until the next day. The hotel was not even one-third full. We got to our room and AC was not working Good. We pay for breakfast and it was the most expensive eggs I've ever had in my life. Orange juice was more water than. Juice Hotel is old and needs work.We will not stay in this hotel
The view and the parking were great

United StatesMy AC in my room was broken as I requested another room. They told me that they didn’t have another room. I could not sleep as AC wasn’t working properly. The floor is on the room has so many cracks. When you open the windows, all you can hear is people from the outside in the music playing all night. Majority of the businesses that are playing music all night and play music until 5 o’clock in the morning. It’s not comfortable listening to music while you’re trying to sleep. The staff in the front was very rude. There is no happy smile when you get there there was a gentleman and a woman in front didn’t either greet you. One thing I will tell you is if you make reservations through a different company make a call to them because they will try to charge you extra when you get there per person.I reserved three rooms two with key bedroom size and one with a double and they ended up giving me all three rooms with doubles. If I can write this as a hotel coming from USA I will say this hotel is more like a motel 8. I will not come back to this hotel.
I think the only thing that I did like was the show that they had by the restaurant

United StatesThis hotel has really declined in quality over the years. I've stayed here once a year for the past five years, and the last three stays have been disappointing. The property does have an amazing view of the ocean and the famous La Quebrada cliffs, with sunsets that are absolutely stunning. However, be prepared for a frustrating check-in experience. It doesn't matter if you arrive right on time or even three hours late; you may end up waiting over an hour for your room keys, if you're lucky. The room towels are worn out and in poor condition, so much so that we had to go downtown to buy our own towels. The air conditioning is hit-or-miss—it might work, or it might not. If it doesn't, they'll move you to a different room, but it’s something to be prepared for. If you're visiting primarily to watch the cliff divers at La Quebrada, then this hotel might be worth considering. However, for anything else, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The front desk staff is unhelpful and seem more focused on repeating the same information over and over again. They do offer to extend your stay by the amount of time you spent waiting for your room, but honestly, I find that more amusing than practical.

EcuadorThere were not lockers to safely store the belongings while I was swimming. There was not a private shower area. There were not dressing rooms for men and women near the swimming pools.
The view was amazing. I could see the Pacific Ocean. The installations are excellent and I could enjoy the landscapes and the nature. There were beautiful swimming pools to relax. I could eat a delicious breakfast at the open-air restaurant while I was looking at some divers, the turtles and the sea.

United StatesBesides the accommodations being utterly disgusting, the staff was rude and unhelpful. We were a group of 5 and got a room for 4-6 people, upon our arrival they said that only 4 people could stay at the hotel or we could pay $70 PER DAY for the extra person, staff was aggressive and not caring at all of our situation and if we were to cancel they would still charge us for the nights booked there. They put literal wristbands on you and you cannot enter without a wristband, when we got to our room the floor was dirty, there was no towels and hairs in the shower. On our last day we stayed at the hotel, the room below us had a fire which made our clothes stink and they had us move into a new room where the shower curtain was disgusting and there was a literal scorpion in our hotel room. Food was horrible, there’s no wifi beside the lobby, save your money and book somewhere else.
The only thing this place has going is it the cliff divers and the hall of fame wall.

This is what Acapulco is all about. Forget the fancy hotels and the shallow facade of the newer parts of the town; real Acapulco is here, in this fading but beautiful hotel. Ignore the reviews about steps and distance from restaurants (it's on a cliff - what do you expect?) Staff are faultless, breakfast is fantastic, and the views are the best you can get.

horrible experience in this hotel and booking . my booking was modified by booking and I was charge the original fee , i was told by booking and the hotel they will refund me the difference ..to this day I have cero direction from neither the hotel or booking , I was suppose to check in at 3 , my room was ready until 5 . I was just told 10 min more and 2 hrs passed , room was old with wholes in the curtains, beat up windows , beds were ok , staff in the hotel was not helpful , they just pass you around to eventually give you a number to call where of course nobody answers . stay here if you are alone and have plenty of time to waste , don’t chose the breakfast option on the booking app, you get a better deal paying it at the hotel if you choose too ( expensive breakfast for what it is but it does have a nice view ) the only good thing this place has going is the view they have . that’s it
