Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff was amazing. Clean facilites, great group of guest, all ages and nationalities. AC in rooms. Clean common kitchen, well equipped, drinking water and ice.

Kind, friendly and helpful personnel, 24h at the reception for information and anything you could need. Clean, very well located with a nice patio. Use of equipped kitchen. 100% recommended.

Nothing comes to mind here
Everybody was super friendly. Especially Salma was very helpful and shared lots of recommendations. The location is also great, as it's in walking distance to many nice Cafés and restaurants, but not too close to bars and clubs to be disturbed at night. The hostel is very clean and I liked the free refill of water. Helps to avoid plastic waste

The walls in our room seemed thin and we were located in front of the common space and next to the shared bathroom. It did not bother us but we could imagine it may for lighter sleepers.
The staff was friendly and welcoming! The facilities were clean. We enjoyed having access to the open kitchen and common areas. Check-in and out was easy. The room was clean, private, simple, and spacious.

The staff weren't super friendly, but I didn't have any problems either. There is no hairdryer available for guests.
Good room, plenty of space, bathroom too, shower with good pressure and hot water.

I stayed in a an all female dorm room which was located next to the common area, this made it quite noisy at times. However it was on the ground floor so it was convenient.
The location was great. Walking distance to most things and surrounding restaurants, cafes, museums, main shopping areas, farmers market etc, Catching an uber or taxi were also a cheap option available

A warm welcome on a very cold evening. We were very kindly moved to a more cosy room with good heating. The use of a kitchen was a bonus.

I have no issues at all.
The location is excellent in the older part of Monterrey. Many amazing restaurants are very close by and on Sunday there is a big market that has all kinds of interesting things for sale. GREAT PLACE!

- One of the private rooms (room 4) doesn’t have a locker however you do have the ability to leave valuables with reception in a locker. - Limited space in the common areas to sit and chill besides the couch in reception otherwise your sitting on your bed. You either sit at the table in the kitchen or at the large table if you need a spot to sit.
- Well located in Monterrey. - Super friendly and helpful staff (I had an issue with booking and they did everything in their ability to help and it made my day). - Kitchen well equipped for self-catering. Drinking water available in the kitchen. - Clean facilities and common spaces, cleaned daily. - Hot showers with good pressure. - Medium sized Supermarket within 10-15 minutes. Cafes, bars and restaurants at your doorstep.

I lived two different realities in that hostel. At night, a super friendly girl took care of me in the best way possible, I was impressed. But when I woke up in the morning, I lived another reality with two women who didn't have the same disposition or the same good vibes. I asked about things and they just rejected me indifferently. What I really can't believe is that they didn't have a phone to call a taxi and did nothing to get it. They were from Monterrey, not me. But anyway, the place is super nice and I don't want to complain about those things, right? Anyway, I already did it, ups!

Very little interaction. No information on area or things happening that we might have been interested in
Location is fantastic, close to transport, sights, bars and restaurants. The kitchen is good with plenty of space and utensils. Shared areas kept clean. Staff were friendly.

Overall, the hostel was clean. However, our room could've been a little bit cleaner and there were some repairs that needed to be made.
We loved the location and that the room had AC. It was extremely hot, so the AC kept the room cooler. The facilities were good. The staff were all lovely and knowledgable.
