Excellent location if you wanna be close to the beach and the main Rinponcito street, but in Mazunte everything is fairly close. Room was spacious, clean, body&hand soap and shampoo provided, even blankets for the beach.

This place exceeded all expectations. The location is incredible, right opposite the beach, you can see the beach from the kitchen window and hear the waves. Centrally located so you can easily walk to the Main Street. The room and bathroom was very modern, the bed was huge and comfortable. Great kitchen with all the appliances. The hostess, Sulima was exceptionally attentive, and only too happy to help and make sure our stay was comfortable, always asking if there was anything we needed. We extended our stay by 3 extra nights as we just loved this place!

We spent a wonderful four nights at Casa Gaviota. Our host was extremely helpful letting us check in early and even offered room service during our stay. We are very sad to be leaving and will be dreaming of our stay for a very long time! Thank you for everything!

Very clean and comfortable accomodation. Well equipped kitchen with pots, coffee, drinking water etc which was great to have. Fantastic location just across the road from the beach and close to the town too. The host was also really kind and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

- like many places in Mexico, there is a loud chicken making noises in the morning, from one of the neighbouring properties. No dogs barking here though! :) - Also common in Mexican beach destinations, the shower and sink tap water pressure is quite low, and there’s no hot water. It takes time to get the sand off your body, and the food off your dishes - live music from nearby properties can sometimes be heard until 11pm - midnight. The artists were good, and I didn’t mind, cause I was staying up till then anyways. - It is a very nice cabaña style building, not an air conditioned and sealed hotel room. So you need to be okay with a few bugs here and there. I did not feel like it was too bad though. You’re at a tropical beach so what can you do. Summary If I came back to mazunte I would definitely come here. I prefer puerto Escondido though, as it has far more food options and things to do.

- Can’t beat the location, just a few steps from the beach and many restaurants - Swilma the hostess is super nice, friendly, helpful, and respectful of my space. She does her own thing and is quiet and cool. But she helped me with information and directions multiple times. - The room is spacious and clean and higher quality than most places I have stayed in Mexican beach destinations - The king sized bed was large, firm, and comfortable. The pillows were also large and firm, and 4 pillows was very very nice to have. The linens are also of high quality cotton, they are soft and fantastic! - The wifi was fantastic 90% of the time, and when it wasn’t, swilma helped me switch to another network

Casa Gaviota is a magical place. The space is so minimal, clean, stylish and comfortable. I felt at home. It’s located right by the beach, with a beautiful view from the kitchen. Suilma was so welcoming, she was always so kind and responsive. Can’t wait to come again.

Casa Gaviota is right next to Riconcito's beach and to the main street with all restaurants, cafés and shops. A perfect location if all you want to do is go swimming, relax and go out. The rooms are super comfortable and temperature is quite cool inside. The host is incredibly nice and helpful at all times. Truly recommend this spot!

Loved this stay! The location is excellent- maybe a minute or 2 walk to the beach. Super close to restaurants and shops. The bathroom light was not working when I first got there but Suilma was quick to get it fixed and was super nice as well. Everything was amazing and high recommend staying here.

Great location 50 meters from beach,Exceptionally clean property with only 4 rooms available. Rooms are rustic with rock floor bathroom and a king size comfortable bed.Hammocks and shaded seating area with water refill station and coffee. Kitchen upstairs is available,very clean and well stocked.The hostess is very friendly and thorough in cleaning the rooms and maintaining the property. Garbage is divided for recycling and compost.We booked this place for 2 nights and stayed 18 days.Great value and close to everything.
