The housekeeping was terrible. Our room was usually cleaned only after 5 p.m., which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. The toilet paper was never replaced during our stay — I was expecting a higher level of service.

The location is simply incredible. The rooms were also super nice. What I liked the most was the bathroom — entirely outdoors. The atmosphere is magical.

I didn’t like that the trip had to end!

It’s rare that I’m compelled to pen a review like this after a trip, but this I needed to share. I have travelled extensively and this was unequivocally the best hotel stay I have had. The phenomenal location for the hotel, rooms and restaurant sets the precedent, on a palm-lined patch of beach on the quieter part of Holbox, and the rooms and ambience are stunning and cleaned to the highest standard. There are activities each day, many of which are included and add another dimension to the stay. Above all else, the staff were simply incredible; so friendly, personable, attentive and knowledgeable about all the dishes, drinks, activities and local wildlife. We wanted for nothing at any time, and the front desk team were more than happy to help with taxis, excursions, bookings at any time. They remembered guests by first names as well as room numbers which is a lovely touch. The food at the restaurant is out of this world. So flavourful and fresh with lots of choice, the cocktails are outstanding and the service impeccable. Of course the location speaks for itself: it’s the best sunset spot on the whole of Holbox and away from the main crowds, but still so close to the centre that you can walk. Overall a genuine 10/10. Thank you Cristy, Andy, Riy, Roberto, Isaias, Armando and Naomi. You are all amazing. I’m sorry if I forgot any names. You made the experience what it was, so thank you. We will be back!

The property and accommodations are beautiful, private and with an emphasis on nestling into nature. The staff is warm, friendly and attentive. Spectacular food and drinks overlooking the crystal clear Gulf. Amazing sunsets.

The special vibe, the hotel is like a temple in an Indiana Jones movie. Love all the vegetation. The restaurant is great, swimming pool very cool and the staff very friendly

While I liked the bathroom being outside, the toilet room was always full of mosquitos!! I was eaten alive out there

Where to begin! First of all I think it’s important to understand that this property is completely immersed in nature. In fact their slogan on their room keys is “our ode to nature”. The rooms are hidden in lush green vegetation which I simply loved. It felt like you were in the rain forest. Because of the close connection to nature of course there is going to be animals, such as (harmless) iguanas around the place. If this bothers you then this isn’t the place for you. I adored the visual design of this place, the attention to detail was outstanding, luxurious boho vibes. We were totally blown away when we arrived! The hotel has its own private beach area where you can spend the day sunbathing, reading in the shade, or swimming.

The humidity in the regular room is slightly high, but I guess that just comes with the location. Other than that, nothing to add.

The staff has been incredibly friendly, very clean rooms, fantastic breakfast and also the offered yoga and pilates classes in the morning and afternoon activities have been much appreciated. The location is beautiful and doesn’t want to make you leave this paradise. Also the beach was clean, and the sunbeds are nicely located with enough space inbetween each other. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to recharge and relax!

Coffee was not very good. They can work on their espresso making skills. Would have been nice if they had a hot water pool for the evenings. Would have liked to see more vegetarian options on the menu.

Fantastic location and beautiful rooms. The restaurant had incredible food. Loved the yoga space in the mornings. The service from the staff was excellent.

They just needed some more parasites for us brits, that need a bit of shade from the strong sun! And it would be nice to have breakfast included with booking.com.

We had an amazing time at Nomade. It was such a unique hotel, with lots of relaxing and active activities. We made sure to try them all! Some of them we hadn’t heard of before so it was a great and new experience. It was right on the beach, also with a lovely pool to dip in. If you wanted to you could spend all day in the hotel. The staff were lovely and really helpful, and helped me arrange all my travel (which was especially early) back to Cancun airport! They even bought my ferry tickets for me. Whenever I needed anything I could what’s app and things were sorted and responded to immediately. Really recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Isla Holbox. It’s more of an experience than just a place to stay.

Treehouse was great with an amazing view on the sea also with a rooftop terrace to admire the sunset and the stars. The outdoor shower is also an amazing experience. Beach club is comfortable with big double bed chairs and the cocktails are delicious ! Prices are little bit more expensive than in other places but it justifies all those services. The staff was very caring and attentive and even helped me to organize a private area in the restaurant and flowers for my proposal with my fiancée ! many thanks again to them ! We will definitely visit this place again when we come back to Holbox.

The food and drinks were excessively expensive which was rather off putting. I suppose it does keep away the party crowds which is a plus, but many guests would find other ways to eat and drink.

We stayed in one of the moon temples and it was perfect. The hotel itself is incredibly serene and a welcomed contrast to the noisy beach clubs farther down the beach. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The layout and design of the restaurant and club was amazing. Nomade is located on one of the nicest stretches of beach we saw while there. The whole experience was dreamy and I can’t wait to come back.

1. No milk in the room and when we asked a bit for the morning coffee this was charged 2. Very loud side streets with construction going on, so for us it was not a place where we were able to fully relax, especially in the mornings. 3. 15% is already included on everything you purchese, however we were always given the impression when signing for bills that more volutanry tip is expected. From a 5* hotel, I do not want to worry about how much I need to tip ON TOP of the 15%...

The only thing to be aware of is the mosquitos in the bathroom and toilet and the rooms. To be expected when in the middle of the jungle but maybe some electric rackets to kill them would have made the stay a 10/10. If someone is allergic the mosquitos in the open bathroom can become a bit stressful

We would like to highlihht that although Holbox has sun all year there are cold and windy days ( wich was our case when staying here ) there´s a need to create a indoor area , its not possible to enjoy the breakfast |restaurant area when its cold .

Place is spetacular if you want to get away and relax , staff where very kind special thanks to Genesis :) Our room was great outdoor toilette was so cool , The sound of the wind in the trees so relaxing , Jungle hotel all outdoors.Nomade has such a vibe :)
