Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I was happy that the hotel was in the centre. It was quite to sleep. The bed was comfortable. The staff members attentive. It has for free water in the corridor. The wifi worked fine.

SwitzerlandThe night receptionist (an old man) was not friendly. He will treat you according to the night rate you pay. Since we reserved via booking he told us booking rate is too low so we don’t deserve to have 2 clean towels (we had a double room and were 2 people). Only 1 towel was given and he said it was complimentary from the hotel but not included in our rate 🤔So on his perception he was making us a favor for giving us a towel. Fortunately not all the staff is bad. The day (young) receptionist & the cleaning ladies were efficient, friendly & polite.
The location is great, very central and quiet. Basic, clean facilities. The young receptionist that works the day shift is very friendly and polite. He even moved us to another room when requested.

DenmarkNot much.
Excellent price for the location right next to the main square. There was a water cooler where we could refill our water bottles. I was expecting a much worse place due to the low price, but was pleasantly surprised. I'd stay there again.

United StatesIt must have been nice in 1970s. Very old building and not up kept well. Lazy receptionist. I needed to ask 7 times to give me a second towel (we were two people in the 2-person room). Very old towels with holes in them. Ugly. Will not come back.
Location and the arquitectura of the old building.

MexicoI stayed here 8 nights and on some nights the hotel ran out of water but it was fixed the same night. Might as well say there's no WiFi. I had to use my own. TV provides Netflix but you have to use your own account. TV wifi worked the first few night and then no luck with it. I was charged an extra fee for bed linen due to having an accident during my menstrual cycle. There's no AC but thankfully I had a fan in the room. There's also no security box in room. On most days house keeping was skipped unless requested.
No breakfast included. You get what you pay for. Price is very economic and location is great.

United StatesI thought it was cruel and unusual punishment to get a room with no windows and no air conditioning and the temperature reached over 83 degrees. Room 26 only had two electrical plugs, one in the bathroom and one near the dresser in the bedroom. I had to choose between running the fan to stay cool or charging my phone/tablet, watching TV was out of the question. Secondly, when taking a shower the water over flowed all the way out of the bathroom and under the beds. The staff was exceptionally helpful in moving me into another room, which was much larger, had more outlets and was 100 times nicer than room 26.
It is not my desire to berate establishments outside of the United States, as it would be an unfair comparison. Hotel Nueva Antequera is an old antiquated hotel that has an excellent location right near the Zocala where a lot of activities take place, especially for the Dia De Muertos. The hotel is near a buffet that has an awesome breakfast and is near a large selection of outdoor restaurants. Liked the hotel and loved the staff.
