Everything was really expensive and it wasn't as easy to get to the center of Palenque. Food was expensive, taxi rides were expensive, and also the restaurant didn't open until 7 am and there's no place to get coffee or anything to eat nearby

The grounds were beautiful and it was nice to have the river nearby and a pool. We also really enjoyed the snack bar.

This place is an oase of peace and beauty. It’s located at a small waterfall where you can swim or take a kayak. Really lovely

property over 50 years need updating. in our first room ac did not work so we have to be move. Fire alarm when off in the middle of the night without cause. staff remove it next day. tv too small with a very limited channel option. did not have a shower head in the bathroom

- the pool was lovely - the breakfast was delicious - the nearby lake was stunning - staff made a box lunch instead of the breakfast since we had to leave early in the morning

I wasn't the biggest fan of the breakfast. I would have liked hashbrowns at least one day. They advertise it as an American breakfast, and most have hashbrowns, sausage or bacon. We were there for 2 breakfast days and neither of those items were served. They did have eggs, which were mixed w ham. I would have appreciated some eggs with no meat as an option. Now that I think about it, it may have been an option, but I didn't ask. It wasn't featured on the buffet.

The grounds were stunningly beautiful. I saw monkeys, an iguana and other wildlife while I was there. I enjoyed the pool and the poolside food service. I was traveling with my husband, my mother-in-law and my father-in-law. They had a luggage porter who took our luggage to the rooms. This was very helpful for my in-laws. I was glad the hotel was able to accommodate a first floor room for my in-laws. I liked the river bathing area. We were able to see fish and kayak in a designated area. We also enjoyed the massage services and appreciated the dependable wi-fi.

Aircon was 20 years old, cockroaches in the bathroom, sheets on every bed made out of plastic, the smallest water bottles I have ever seen, staff tried to urge us wearing swim wests in knee high water! Hardly anybody did speak English. And on top of all extreme loud music at the pool and in the bar.

For a 4 star hotel I expected more. Wifi was not good, shower wasn't great and the airco was extremely loud. At the restaurant the waiter added his own tip. We paid it but were quite shocked bij this. My food also only arrived once my partner was already finished...

The location is great right at the entrance of Palenque (coming from yaxillian and bonampak). We were very happy that we didn't have to drive trough the city centre anymore after a long day. Secure parking.

The included breakfast is very light on food, barely a meal.

The hotel is quite out of the way which means its surrounded by jungle and plenty of wildlife. Spidermonkeys and agoutis are frequent but you can also hear howler monkeys (not so nice but very interesting). The pool has a bar and food service. Both are pretty decently priced. Rooms are of a decent size. Staff are very helpful and nice.
