Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSome insects but very understandable since it is a cabin like room.

NetherlandsOverall the location is nice, as it is on the “main street” of the Mahahual strip, and you have ocean view. However, the pictures on Booking are a bit misleading, as the hotel is cramped between two concrete buildings. Also you’ll have to cross the street before you get to the beach.
Cabins were spacious and clean, bathroom was good.

BelgiumOn pictures it looks like those are cabanas on the beach but it’s actually just a decorated building between the other concrete hotels

United StatesGreat location right at the Malecon. The staff were very nice. The room was clean and comfy. view of the ocean right in front of the property. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors but no one was being loud and everyone went to bed at a reasonable hour so it was no issue. Beds were comfortable and price was very reasonable. Would love to return.

EstoniaThe walls are wooden and thin, but it didn't bother us because we were tired from the sea and fell asleep immediately. It is not good to go swimming near the hotel because there was a lot of sea grass. Without sea grass was the beach of the restaurant next door. In any case, you shouldn't expect a beach like the one in Tulum.
Great location near the sea. Our room was not directly by the sea. There was also a road and an empty lot between our balcony and the sea. We still had a sea view.

United StatesA/C would only fet somewhat cool. Cracks in wall, lack of insulation wouldn't allow room to cool down. Noisy street just behind rooms.
Great location. Further from ships, but still close to things. Pretty. Near beach.

United StatesClean, good service, and in a good location. Also in front of cabañas theres a spot on the beach where everyone can rest and go in. Since restaurants own every part of the beach 😅 Theres also free bikes from the property I definitely come back and stay here again! Thanks

Canadaamenities do not match the cost. Yo vivo Mexico. No wifi cold water and screens not on door which would be agreeable if you're paying 20 dollars less but for cost these amenities should be in place. We moved close and paid less for working amenities and a pool.
Lovely location and decor

United StatesThe afternoon staff was grumpy and rude. The promised bikes were in very poor repair and when it rained water dripped in and ran across the floor.
The morning staff was lovely and very accommodating! We loved the coffee pot and the large tambo of water. The view of the beach was beautiful!

GermanyLocation/Beach: The location is not very nice and the photos do not convey the reality. The hotel does not have any beach belonging to it, so the only real way to enjoy the beach is to go to a beach club/restaurant and buy drinks or food. Between the hotel and the beach is an unkept and empty lot which is not a pleasant view. Noise: It is extremely noisy! The hotel is built with overlapping raw wood slats so you can see light through the construction and hear *everything* outside. The hotel is located directly on the main street with motorcycle and auto traffic; therefore, you hear all the traffic all night. The hotel is located next to the pool area of the neighboring hotel where there was a party both nights we stayed there, and we were forced to listen to their music and loud banter. Friendliness: The hotel owner was not friendly, even to the point of being hostile, about our complaints with the noise (traffic anf party). We requested to shorten our stay by one night and receive a refund for the “unused night”. The owner refused. We then searched for a compromise and offered to pay 50% of the remaining “unused“ night where we would leave early. The owner refused and was “hostile” about the conversation. It simply isn’t a friendly place to stay. Summary: I can’t recommend staying here. We stayed in Mahahual for five more nights at a much nicer hotel (with beach access) for less money.
The hotel is clean and the air conditioning worked well even if it was a bit loud.

Germanyprice a bit expensive for such a kind of hotel. they didn’t accepted credit card, internet didn’t work. the person in the information desk was not helpful. we needed to clarify something with the owner but he didn’t call him. we had to call by ourselves. For the ones who love animals and nature it would be a nice place as wall lizards love to live there in the ceiling and would walk around during night and leave some surprises in your bed. 😦
location, price cheaper than other hotels but still a bit expensive.
