The view was pretty nice

It was clean.

There was not staff at the reception when we arrived.

The food at the restaurant was below average. Furthermore, there was only one waiter for several tables.

I liked the quietness and waking up to nature.

The beds were hard and the toilet broke towards the end our stay. It was somewhat fixed , but in reality they need to invest on their rooms..

The facility was very quint, but with temperatures going down to 5 Celsius there was no heat in the rooms. No hot water and the beds were very hard

Little. Nothing, actually.

Dirty. No heating (freezing cold). Two electric sockets, one at door and one in bathroom. Lights non-functioning with cabling stripped bare (see photo), covers with cigarette burns, threadbare sheets, toilet with faulty flush unit which needed to be stopped by hand each time. Long black hair throughout the bathroom floor. Headboards not connected to the beds and wobbly. This was really the worst place I’ve stayed in all my years reserving with Booking and through all the countries I’ve traveled.

The location is beautiful.

Everything is outdated. Bathrooms need upgrades, Chimney needed repairs, as it was slanted towards the room and the logs kept falling out.

My initial reservation was accepted - confirmation/pin number. Then, somehow somehow the hotel rejected it and I'm guessing because they didn't want to honor Booking.com I still haven't found out if I was charged - since I've been on the road and have had other pressing priorities.

Although it's far from the city centre, the location was in a nice setting due to the gardens, the gardens are massive and well-kept. The rooms are big but need updating. The bell boy was friendly and helpful, thank you.

This is supposed to be a quiet, peaceful place to rest, no such luck. The hotel also has rooms for parties and events so , if there's a party or an event, bad luck as there's loud music playing. Nowhere in the description of the hotel says that there might be parties at the weekend. The music was playing until 3 am, not what we were looking for or paid for! They moved us to a quieter room but the rooms were not in a great condition, there was no hot water until after 7 am, no one told us this. There are no food offerings on site, the restaurant closes at 5.30 pm and, as they are far from the city centre, we had to call Rappi for food delivery, not a sophisticated choice for a special birthday weekend! The pool area is unkept. It has great potential but there's no investment. The hotel should identify what they are trying to achieve and who their target audience is, is it a good hotel offering or parties? Parties seem to be getting the priority and guests come as an after-thought. We moved rooms 3 times for different reasons, not a great experience for a one night stay! This place is not for people with mobility issues, too many stairs, no ramps anywhere. All in all, not a great experience and wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're looking to party all night.
