Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandLooks much nicer in the pictures then reality, fittings are dated some broken and it could need a proper cleaning. Also it was freezing cold in the night and the little hot air blower didn’t do much.
The place is probably one of the best in the area. Top was the staff who were friendly and helpful and the breakfast they made was really nice.

AustraliaRoom and shower water was generally pretty cold. We stayed during winter and really should have asked for extra blankets or a heater! Pool chairs need to be replaced they are getting rather old.
Very peaceful gardens and a really lovely restaurant on site. Felt it was good value for money and a short drive to the pyramids.

SerbiaI didn't like because there was no hot water in room.
In the room where we were, there was no hot water. We told the staff and they tried to fix it but they couldn't.We were transferred to another room which was the better. I guess it was more expensive but we didn't pay more money. Which is a very good thing.

MexicoSeems like the architect had one too many trips to the pyramids under the sun while designing this place. Esthetically they are great, but in usage you will come into a few issues. The rooms are very small, the shower is way too close to the room, and there is no ventilation in the bathroom. The shower head is located in the ceiling and the only way to regulate the water to a hot and confortable temperature is by opening the pressure to the fullest, which will get all the walls of the shower room wet. There is no physical isolation of the shower area from the rest of the room except a plastic curtain and a water guard, no cloth or mat is provided to dry your feet when leaving, so you will get the floor of the whole room wet. At night, this and the wet walls will be an issue since the temperatures are low and the design never considered ventilation or proper room absorption of the sun. Neither is there any heating or proper heat isolation. Get ready for a cold night, proper blankets are provided. You may run into things like the tv not working or the hot water taking long or needing assitance for it to properly work, but these things are solvable and are very common in lodging everywhere. Another thing that we suggest the owners improving is the fact that only thorugh a whatsapp message can you get into the lodging after 9pm when the gates close. No bells. If you are without internet or a phone, you may not be able to quickly get back into the hotel.
Buses filled with visitors ramp in and out of the pyramids taking tourists to far away places where to spend the night. There might be reasons for this, but in Native Journey Power Travel Guide we recommend staying a nigh or two in Teotihuacan so that you can connect through dreaming and make the full connection with this timeless energetic vortice. Being the most significant, visually stunning and large archaeological site in central Mexico, it's mind boggling to think that tourist services in the area are really... bad. If it's not the service, it's the crammed space, the bad desing, the lack of greenery. It is REALLY difficult to find a place that is actually pleasant to stay in here. According to our research, Posada Colibrí is the best place where you can stay for the cost, and there are a few things you should know so that your experience can be pleasant and complete. The gardens here are the main essence of a great stay, and the two water immersion options, the pool and the heated sauna, are there in case you choose to accompany your visit with an actual spiritual experience, allowing the water to signify a rebirth of your soul. The pool stays around 13 degrees celcius in the autumm, so it's more of an esthetical asset than a real bathing option, unless you want to do cold dipping therapy. The other, the sauna, is heated to 24 degrees so it won't be hot and so it will make for a quick baptizing experience you should really consider when visiting teotihuacan. The owners are caring of their visitors, so you won't have any troubles with the staff or the installations, one of the most crucial things when lodging, and maybe the best thing about this place. Things are beautiful, clean and well taken care of; though there are a few details that you should know and prepare for when visiting here. As nothing is ever perfect, Native Journey Travel Reviews is here to tell you all the facts and nuances to make your experience the best.

I will call this place a little Oasis in the city. Beautiful room with a balcony where we were able to hang out. The room was super clean and they offer daily housekeeping and the bed was very comfortable. Very cute place with lots of greenery and trees around the pool area. This is a remodelled farm house that they remodelled and made into this amazing hotel area. And the best part you’ll feel very safe as they close the big door leading to the area at night. I will definitely stay at this place when I go there again!

MexicoSuper small property, tiny rooms, extremely squeaky floor. Not safe locks on rooms, not AC, mosquitoes, they do provide a small mosquitoe repellent plug in (does not work) . No trash cans in the room, stiff towels. For a “spa” they do need to bring up a notch the amenities. Didnt get the “free” breakfast because we left by 7am. They serve it until 9am.
Better than everything else on town, not worth spending the night.

GermanyThere is a small electric heater in the room, but no one bothered to pre-heat the very cold bedroom, Papalotl. Bathroom very cold, with an uncovered part of the ceiling. Around midnight there was a lot of noise, like someone banging many times on one of the garage doors. At 5 am someone noisily walked around in some upper area, banging down stars. The pool is too cold to enjoy, 20 - 22° Celsius. Temascal costs an extra 2.200 Pesos ie over 100 Dollars, for each of the first 2 users. Real bother: NO hairdryer available! Another minus: Breakfast starts late, at 9 am. The arqueological zone opens at 8 am. There is only water in the room, no coffee.
This small hotel has a nice garden, several secluded patios and relax space. The little restaurant is nice and clean, the breakfast tasty, the red wine OK. I enjoyed the good live music in the evening and at breakfast. My room had a comfortable King Size bed with an extra blanket. Fall and winter nights are cold in the area.

MexicoMaybe the only thing was that they need initiative to do stuff or fix stuff.
With the package we had breakfast was filling and good, chilaquiles or eggs the portions were good , taste was good but they didn't have a lot of options for fruits, although everything is made at the moment of ordering. The room was quite spacious, the bed was very confortable and provided you a heater. bathroom also spacious. The place is an old Hacienda but is very beautiful and quiet. there is a place for having a bonfire and a pool. its 10 minutes top to Teotihuacan. At the hotel provided us with the contact to go to the hot air balloons. The Spa is really relaxing and beautifully set , In my stay I did the Temazcal ceremony , the Temazcalero guided us very well all through the process and the experience was amazing. The massage ladies listen to the requests and were very diligent and knowledgeable.
