Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoThe only negative was that the hot water in the shower only lasted about 2 minutes in the morning.
A very traditional hotel in the heart of the tourist center of Tlaquepaque. So, #1, location, location, location . . The front desk staff was excellent & very knowledgeable about the area . . They answered all my questions, & reserved a car for me in the morning for my appointment. My room was very spacious, rustic, & comfortable.

United StatesThe property was only two blocks from the center of Tlaquepaque, has a beautiful courtyard and patio. The hotel has AC (!!), is quiet if you get a room away from the street. The staff personnel were very kind and provided excellent service. It’s also very safe

United StatesI walked barefoot in the room and my feet were black with dirt after very little time. I kept having to wash my feet when I put my shoes back on or went to bed. Also there was a lot of talking in the courtyard(which is right outside everyone’s doors), I figured it was just other guests and they would go to bed pretty soon. Close to 11pm I decided to listen to what was going on and the night person was giving a TOUR of the place to some ladies. I opened the door and kindly let them know that their voices carried a lot inside the rooms. They quieted down a bit and then a few minutes later the ladies said goodnight and left out of the front door. It wasn’t even guests that he was showing the place to at 11pm.
We loved it was very close to the plaza!

United StatesThere were a few things that could improve and they are working on them. The AC unit wasn't bad but it could improve. The bed was a bit hard but after a couple of days I got used to it. I think having a coffee maker in the room would be better than coming out and asking for coffee.
The location was perfect. It's a few steps from the main Plaza and attractions. The staff was beyond friendly, kind and accommodating. The owner is young and just started his journey a couple of years back. I wish him much success.

CanadaBeautiful property in a striking poetic setting. My room had 25 foot ceilings with a large mural on the wall. The staff are working wonderful and very helpful. Very clean but keep in mind it is a very old building. I loved the bed and the bedding. Top notch.

MexicoThe light on the hallway by the bathroom was not working and it was dark even during the day. No outlet close to the large mirror in the hallway or bathroom sink to be able to plug the curling iron or blow dryer. Our room had windows towards the street and was nice and large but it needs fresh paint.
Great location, close to restaurants, San Pedro Cathedral, museum, pharmacy, etc

MexicoNo breakfast included. But great coffee was. The location was perfect for my needs. I went to Tlaquepaque to buy furniture for my condo in Puerto Vallarta. So it made more sense to to go there as apposed to Guadalajara...being such large city. There were nice shops and fine restaurants with in walking distance.

United StatesThere was no fridge in the room and the bathtub water seemed to drip out to the bottom floor but it was due to the shower curtain being too small
This hotel is a in a great location. It’s just across the street from the plaza and all of the food vendors are nearby, as well as a lot of restaurants, gift shops, art shops, art sculptures, attractions, etc. it’s on a smaller one way street so traffic is not an issue. This place is a gem. It’s an hacienda style stay with all the rooms being in a courtyard with a fountain in the middle. The inside has a very traditional Mexican vibe with the addition of modern technology like a 4K tv and functioning heat pump/AC..

CanadaIt appears the hotel is in some kind of transition. The grounds were not very well maintained and it seemed as though things were not operating like a normal, busy hotel.
