Nothing. Everything from facilities to staff was exceptional.

The dorm was pretty nice, the beds were big and the AC was effective. Also the showers/toilets were plenty, I never waited for anyone so felt like I’m not even sharing them with other people.

The room was basic but functional. No TV . This is a hostel and hotel so a fairly young crowd.

Very friendly hotel, well located with an excellent terrace where breakfast is served. On two mornings we watched whales out in the bay. There is a pool with loungers and seating area.

Very well equipped and thought out. The terrace has a beautiful of puerto Escondido facing the ocean and sunset. Lockers were very useful and clean showers

Maybe the breakfast could be a bit improved as it’s quite sweet and doesn’t stick in the stomach.

I had a great stay at Punta Kai. Especially the girls from the reception were always super helpful and kind. I stayed in a dorm which was super comfortable and quiet.

The bed was very comfortable and quite big. Everything was very clean, there were several showers and toilets so you never had to wait. The pool and breakfast were very nice.

This is a hostel/ hotel, because of that there are too many people for the small pool and some nights late (11:30-2) people were hanging out loudly in the common areas directly below our room.

Beautiful room, great view, appreciated the shared roof top kitchen where you could see up and down the coast.

Super cute room, clean, awesome view, and nice bathtub. I thoroughly enjoyed my bath in this room! It’s a nice walking distance to cafes, and bars, and a short drive to puerto Escondido.

Lots of smokers around the pool so I had a constant runny nose. Fans blew the smoke toward the dorm rooms, esp Luna.

Fruit bowl drizzled with yogurt and possibility to add muesli. Nice rooftop terrace with views. Comfy beds and pillows. AC when outside was over 100F/40C. Decent sized locker for valuables. Pool was relaxing. Immaculate hotel/hostel. Over the top staff who were charismatic, professional and helpful to the nth degree.

The price is very high compared to other hostels and guesthouses. It’s not super social as it is more hotel than hostel but still very nice atmosphere

You get hotel standards for almost hostel price. The pool area as well as the rooftop is very nice. Everything is very clean and the staff very friendly and familiar. It’s a good location in punta ( just a few minutes walk to beach and the main street with restaurants and bars) if you want to be close to everything but still be able to have a quiet nights sleep. Hostel beds are comfy ( the bottom beds are nicest) and they have good air on as well as plenty showers and toilets.

I‘ve had a wonderful stay at Punta Kai. The facility, the location and especially the staff is awesome. Thanks to Nanny & Naz (and the rest) for being so nice, helpful and funny <3 the hostel is a perfect mix of social and relax. I will miss this place and all the lovely people

Just up a little hill from the main road - about a five minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Great air con, gorgeous balcony view of the sea which was amazing for the sunset. The pool area was small but cute and nicely maintained

Paying $150 for the deluxe room, you’d expect better breakfast options - it’s super basic with only 1 x piece of small toast, very little yogurt and no extras. Perhaps some cereal, bakery goods, boiled eggs, and different spreads would be nice..

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The sea view is simply amazing from the room and bathroom! Room is big and super comfortable with great A/C. The vibe is very chilled for a hostel. All amenities are new, modern and clean.

If you take their hostel option it is a great place but we took the private room and it was in my opinion way too expensive. We paid 150€ per night an for that price I would have expected a little more luxury. Especially the breakfast, which consists of a bowl of fruit with cereal and yogurt and a slice of toast, could have been better!

The staff is extraordinary, and the location is great!
