My message with the code arrived on the second day, but I got in. One bar or no wi-fi in the evenings. In 5 days the room was never serviced. Didn’t take my phone only once, and at 8 PM I was locked out of the hotel.

The bathroom needs a proper clean. It all just looks a bit dirty. We had a drunk noisy neighbouring guest. There is no reception so I called a number provided. The host couldn't help. I then had to call the police. I'm sorry, but if you have a hostal/hotel you need to be able to react to and attend problematic guests at any time of the day or night. The neighbour continued after the police came.

Location is perfect if you plan to experience historic Centro. I stayed a week, slept well even though my room was next to the busy street, used the kitchen and terrace, and had breakfast in the lobby cafe. Overall, since the hotel is simple and traditional, I felt like I was part of the city, not just a visitor

If you sleep on the road side, it’s very noisy in the night because of very poor sound isolation and a very busy road next to the hotel. We haven’t met with any of the employees here, it’s self check in and self check out.

Some of rooms which don't have double windows/doors are quite noisy, the hotel being located in a very central neighborhood.

The staff at Real Santo Domingo is one of the nicest we've ever encountered in our travels, Irene is so kind, helpful and warm, I would recommend everyone to stay here simply for that reason! Also, great location, great value, lovely rooftop terrace and indoor common room.

The electric sockets in my were outdated and I can't use them to charge my electronic devices.I had to to that in the kitchen. It was noisy during night-time as guests were slamming the doors,not hotel fault but ignorant people.If your room is by the street it good be noisy during night time and day time.

- As some visitors have pointed out, room 9 (the one we stayed in) faces the street. We were worried this was going to be a big issue. But in reality this isn't really a problem at night because the hotel is a little distance away from the main bars/restaurant zone. However the noise of traffic in the morning can be a bit disturbing if you're a light sleeper.

- Irene and her staff were lovely. They were welcoming and hospitable, and always happy to help out. - The hotel is charming and definitely value for money. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and jugs of water are provided through the day/night. - We stayed in a quadruple room. It was a last minute booking. The room was clean and comfortable (and cleaned regularly). The showers had hot water. No complaints. - The location is perfect. It is just off the main city centre. Walking distance from everything without being all the way in the middle of the madness. All in all, you're getting what you pay for (and probably more)

A little noisy as it is a busy corner with traffic but gets very quiet in the middle of the night

I had a great stay at the Real Santa Domingo. Irene was professional, kind and very helpful throughout my stay. My room and the hotel in general, was clean, comfortable, and charming. The location is excellent for exploring Oaxaca Centro. Old hotel gives a nice flavor of the city.

The hotel is on a main street and at times can get a little nosie.

There's a change of ownership of the hotel. As in this case, the hotel needs some improvements. But overall a good stay.
