United StatesOne thing to note: the hotel is advertised as “adults only,” but we did see children during our stay. While they were well-behaved and didn’t disturb us, it was a bit surprising given the hotel’s description. If the adults-only environment is important to you, this might be something to consider.
We stayed at this hotel for five nights as two couples and had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

United KingdomAs there’s no bar in the hotel a fridge in the room would be helpful, there are lovely terraces that would be nice to enjoy a cold drink on.
Lovely hotel, we had a really beautiful room. Staff were all really attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. They also made us a breakfast to takeaway when we had to leave early. Filtered water was always available which we really appreciated. Beach club passes were a good perk too, mawimbi was lovely. Had wellies for us when it rained!

We have rescheduled our honeymoon trip in the very last minute and made a spontaneous reservation here. Luckily , it was the perfect choice. The hotel fulfilled 100% our expectations, the staff is amazingly helpful and on point, anytime we needed something. Rooms were cleaned properly, it smelled always fresh, the beds were comfortable and a lot of small details that counted our whole stay. The extra beach club pass made it all easier for us and we would say it was one on the best spots on the island! We will definitely come back one day!

There are several options for breakfast, all of which are delicious and served on a lovely terrace. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute taxi from the port. The free guest passes at Mawimbi were a fantastic bonus, as this is a perfect spot for enjoying the beach.

The hotel is designed so tastefully, the room with it's scented bath products and incredibly comfortable bed, amazing breakfast on the rooftop, the beach pass at Mawimbi..and such a warm and incredible staff that made our stay at Holbox just magical. Loved that the hotel was on a quiet street close to everything (beach, restaurants, etc.) and yet right next to the jungle - visible from the roof terrace over breakfast. I also loved the little touches, including having filtered water and a carafe available to save plastics and that the housekeeping staff decorated our rooms for Valentines Day. Though I was traveling solo without my partner, that made me feel special and included. The beach pass is also KEY - Mawimbi is wonderful, with great service. And aside for a small handful of beach chairs, as a guest not of their hotel, you still get your pick of beach chairs and the same level of service as guests do.

United StatesCan’t think of any negatives - if you look through the reviews online others found few things to complain about : “no pool” …. few hotels have pools here as you have one of the best swimmable beaches in the world here !! “not on the beach” ….. the room rate includes access to best beach club which includes one of the best restaurants on the island - two negatives make a positive - right ?

This is an exceptional hotel with a lovely ethos and focus on sustainability and natural products. The staff go the extra mile to look after you and ensure you have the best possible time. Great location, free daily access to a fantastic beach club, comfortable rooms and beds with everything you need, and fabulous breakfast on their roof terrace. The whole place smells amazing all the time and is immaculate! Just perfect. If we ever return to Holbox, we will be returning here.
