Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only thing for some to know is that it doesn’t have A/C but comes with floor fans. Loved everything else!
The property is spacious, artsy, and has so much charme. Rafa the owner is so friendly and helpful. It’s a great location about 10 minute walk to the city center. Huge room with separate bath room, super comfy and big bed, complimentary water, and absolutely clean. Fair price compared to other hotels in the area, happy to pay a little extra for some peace, quietness, and space.

United StatesThe property is a bit far from the center of town (about a mile to Plaza de la Paz).
San Bernabé Tres is a jewel. A gorgeous colonial home, with a garden and small dining area. The hosts, Rafael and Veronica are a very gracious, well-educated couple, who truly go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

United StatesSanbernabé Tres is truly magical. The details, the colors, the textures- it’s clear Rafa and his wife have poured their hearts into each space and the result is one of the most special places I’ve ever stayed. And I’ve stayed in many special places! :) The location is a quiet neighborhood about a 15 minute walk to centro. It’s a lovely walk and well worth it to stay in such a beautiful home.

United StatesThe facilities were superb. A wonderful example of Mexican art and culture. I loved the distance from the noisy downtown that for us was a nice 10 minute interesting walk. When we visit Guanajuato next time, we'll stay here again.

CanadaWe loved our stay here. You basically have a room in a colonial mansion with lovely art work and decor. We didn’t use all the facilities as we were out exploring much of the time, but a living room and dining room were available for our use. We did use the shared kitchen, which was like a commercial kitchen. Continental breakfast was included and coffee and tea and pastries were available throughout the day. The room was cleaned daily which was nice and laundry was available for an extra charge. Very quiet location. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the historic Center.

United StatesAbsolutely beautiful historic home .. beautifully and tastefully refurbished respecting all historical details . The owner Rafael and his wife are very accommodating and the home ( mansion ?)feels warm and welcoming . We loved the Sirena room with the fireplace , we felt as if we were in a hacienda . Rafael kindly showed us all of the rooms as well as the whole house and every room is special . Would be a wonderful stay for a group of/ wedding ..-also I’d like to mention that being an older home with antiques .. it has none of the mustiness that can accompany the latter and the bedding and sheets felt luxurious . We found it to be a wonderful value as well . We were there for the Cervantino and it’s about a 15/20 minute walk to the center of town where all the action takes place . We enjoyed being in this neighborhood called Pastita , it’s more residential and calm( except for the nocturnal barking dogs so common in Mexico ) . Rafael is also working on restoring a beautiful comunal patio area and when that is complete it should be even more wonderful a stay . It was very convenient to have water and juice and coffee with pastries / toast / fruit available for a quick and simple preparation for a day out exploring the fascinating city of Guanajuato. Thank you !

United StatesNothing really. Some commented about a lack of breakfast, but there are simple toast and fruits plus juice and coffee to start the day. Its easy to grab hot meals in town if needed, not a problem at all.
It felt like an invitation to a home stay and the experience itself was an extension of visiting Guanajarto, gaining insights of how locals live. Rafa and Veronika plus their team are greatest hosts, and we can see so much love built into their tasteful home with further projects to come. The house has a lot of colors and art works, almost like living in a museum. We felt rested, welcomed and inspired!

United StatesI personally found the walk to town a bit of a chore. The temperature was in the low 90’s each day’ and the altitude is 6700 feet. Compounding that, most of the way is narrow and busy; diesel fumes abound. With full disclosure; I am 68 and chubby. Air conditioning is required for me. One room is so equipped, I was very comfortable in it.
The owners have restored the building with incredible taste and care. Rafael is a retired architect; he and his wife have an amazing eye for traditional elegant Mexican styles. The attention to detail is astounding. The beds are firm but comfortable, pillows soft. Great TV cable, yummy fresh sweet breads juice and coffee etc at a help-yourself breakfast buffet…Unending bottles of water on hand. I found looking around my room more satisfying than any of the museums in town. The hosts are kind, generous, sophisticated people in the best tradition.

United StatesThe only issue was the Wi-Fi, although we were able to solve it with the help of Rafael. Because the house has very thick walls, he has installed several routers with separate Wi-Fi addresses but we were able find a couple that worked well for our location in the house. Also, the lighting was a bit dim--could use better reading lights on each side of the bed. Be aware that it's about a 15 min walk to town.
The house is absolutely beautiful - full of art and interesting architectural details. Our room was exceptional -- very large with a king-sized bed, and beautiful antique furniture and a very well appointed bathroom. A continental breakfast was served each day--various sweet rolls with fresh fruit and self-serve coffee and tea which was more than enough for us.

United StatesWe didn't dislike anything. We were lucky to have been able to stay there.
The house is beautiful, decorated in Mexican style, we loved all the antiques and tasteful details, our hosts were amazing, very friendly, the owner, Rafael, gave us a tour of the house, that he restored. The location is great, quiet, safe, and close enought to walk to downtown. The bed was so comfortable, big fluffy bath towels, you can have a light breakfast (fruit, tea, coffee, bread) in the morning and relax at the garden after a long day of exploring, if you want an amazing experience, stay at San Bernabe Tres!
