The location was great, the hosts were very friendly and helpful!!! It was a great way to experience Cancun!!!

Our biggest issue was not having hot water in the shower for the first 4 days!!! We were told it is a solar water heater and in the mornings and on cloudy days it apparently can't keep up! There is an electrical backup which we were told about after the 4th day and then it was much better.

    Well located and furnished

Sil fallait vraiment trouver un inconvenient: Les coussins étaient un peu mous, sinon c'était juste parfait!!

The room has a private entrance from the street, enough parking on the street for our rental car, it's close to many beaches and to shopping in the small shops. Air conditioning and a shower are important features. The bed was comfortable.

I had thought there would be a little fridge, possibly a microwave or maybe breakfast - none of those; in fact they don't supply coffee and filter for the coffee maker and no cups.

Air conditioner, close to collectivo station, close to Isla Mujeres ferry. Very friendly host, allowed us to keep our luggage after booking has ended for a small fee. Cheap (by Cancun standards) food on the next street. Host provided EU-US plug converter.

Clogged pipe in the bathroom. Pretty far away from any actual beach (you have to take public transport or ferry to get to one). In front of the windows is kindergarten (or primary school), they sometimes start blasting music from 7am.

It was a good basic room not too far from the bus station. They had some good restaurants in walking distance and I felt safe. I didn't have breakfast or anything.

    I was good with everything.

We just stayed for one night before getting the ferry to Isla Mujeres. You can't really fault this place- spotlessly clean, aircon, massive bed, Netflix on tv, good WiFi, quiet neighbourhood. Sandy is really kind and helpful. Sure, it's not the fanciest place ever, but for the price - it's great value!

It was a small, but comfortable place a little bit outside of the city center. It has an AC, clean facilities and a very nice host. He answer all your questions and gives great tips. We went to a beach close by named “Playa El Niño” where we interacted with some very kind and funny locals. It was also a couple of small supermarkets just around the corner from the house.

It lies just beside a school/kindergarten, so if you likes to sleep in, and easily wakes up then that can be a small problem. It did not affect our stay

Very clean; very comfortable huge bed; superb a/c; ceiling fan too; reliable wifi; quiet place; exceptional service from host; plenty of towels; plenty of toilet paper;safe neighborhood, with a pleasant and not too far walk to the Ultramar ferry location that goes to Isla Mujeres; high quality/security door lock; Sandy's husband, Raul, was exceptional, and drove and walked with me to show me good places to see in the area. He also drove me to the doctor's office. He also offered me to use their stove to cook rice. They also showed me the local blocks, as to where the mini super markets were located. He also allowed me to check out a few hours later, given that I had a 7pm flight, with nowhere to go prior to going to the airport. You can go to 1,000 places like this on booking.com or airbnb, and you may not ever encounter another host like this that goes to this level, above and beyond what is promised in the listing description, with what is clearly exceptional level of host service. Sandy's place was my final destination after traveling for 77 days, including 23 different countries and 33 different places that I stayed at. Overall I rate it the best experience and rental among these 33 places.

An extra shelf for additional storage would be a good addition to improve the room further, for travelers that pack a lot of things like me. But this is just a very minor issue. The floor is very clean and I stored things there, so space wasn't really a problem.

A true “home stay”, in Sandy’s residence where she lives with her husband Raul and son Olaf (who handles the English communication promptly and fluently), but completely separate from the rest of the house. NICE, CLEAN small room, plus bathroom, with thoughtful personal touches: -A dispenser of drinking water with glasses! -Beautiful shells and decor made me feel cared-for. -Hot water in the shower. -Even a little perfume bottle, which I DID USE, since I forgot my deodorant (haha don’t tell anyone). -Air conditioner and ceiling fan work fine. -Tinted glass in window for extra privacy! (with full blackout curtains also). -Completely separate from the home, totally private, no noise from the house. -Plunger and toilet brush right there (but I DID NOT need the plunger😉). EXCELLENT SERVICE: -Very FLEXIBLE and accommodating CHECK-IN time; Raul was home and let me in when I arrived (EARLY!). -I got the sink plug stuck - Olaf got it😎 -I MADE A BOOKING MISTAKE: Accidentally booked an extra day on Booking.com, for the WRONG WEEK, prepaid and NON-REFUNDABLE! When I realized my mistake, Olaf was there and he was very concerned, since they are new and have not experienced this problem yet. WE learned OF Booking.com’s GRACE PERIOD for such mistakes, and Olaf helped me get an IMMEDIATE refund to my credit card! Thank you Olaf! 😊🙏❤️ -They let me leave my stuff in THEIR HOME after checkout! PEACEFUL AREA: -songbirds and children by day (across from a children’s school) and no partying, loud music, etc at night. -Several good little stores in the charming neighborhood: bakery, groceries, food stands open late, all within 2 blocks. -2 blocks from a large nature reserve, with sounds of the jungle in the evening if you walk along the edge (the reserve was presently closed to visitors, but I didn’t mind - there are alligators in there!) -24 hour OXXO a ten minute walk away

I really can’t think of anything. Just a nice, laid-back family earning their money well.

    Property response:

    gracias 😃
