Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf you are arriving after 6pm you have to pay a deposit to guarantee your room. We arrived late on a Saturday night and the bar next door was playing loud music until at least 1am - thankfully it was closed on Sunday and Monday. The Wi-Fi was really weak and wouldn’t load anything.
The lady who welcomed us at reception was really friendly and spoke great English. The room was comfortable with good A/C and blackout curtains. The location was central, within walking distance of the main square.

CanadaCons- Location, subject is next to a park and was very lively on the weekends with a big market and young people partying. We never felt unsafe walking around at night, however it could be a little intimidating for some. Weeknights seemed a bit calmer. Room 204, we stayed for 2 nights and the room was just basic. There was an odd padded elevated platform near the window which intruded into the room. Room was advertised as having a city view but it did not. Room had very little attempt at decor, just a bed and a chair. They could try a little harder. No bedside lamps. Glass doors on the bathroom - I hate this and I wish hotels would quit doing it. So if you would like bathroom privacy skip this hotel.
Pros- Location, right between Centro and Col Americana, next to a nice park and light rail/subway station. Bed was comfortable, water pressure and temperature were good. Staff was helpful and attentive and had some English knowledge. We did not experience too much of a noise issue but we slept with ear plugs. A/C worked great. Room was clean.

United StatesThe only place to unpack was 4 hangers. No drawers or shelves anywhere which meant literally living out of my 2 suitcases (one on the floor) for my entire 1-week stay. What a pain! Very poor WiFi as well.
Loved the location next to Parque Rojo, near the Juarez light rail station. Various sights within walking distance. Nice rooftop space. Excellent shower. Friendly staff.

United StatesThe bed was a little too hard, but okay for only 2 nights. The walls were pretty thin and we heard the bar music from next door all night and couldn't sleep.
Location was great! Walking distance to many great things to see!

United StatesThere was nowhere to unpack. Not a single drawer. Not a single hook. The towel racks were the only way to hang anything. I found the bed firm, but adequate. There was low light over the bathroom sink, so getting dressed and ready was awkward. My sister-in-law who traveled with me found it uncomfortable with her arthritis. I would recommend booking a short stay. If you like the beds, it's a great value.
The staff were very welcoming and patient in spite of our weak Spanish. The location is good and you can walk to take in many sights in the area. The rooftop deck was lovely and we met a few friendly travelers out enjoying the night air. The hotel room felt very austere, but very clean. The shower was incredible with hot water galore and high pressure. It's a rainfall type and quite relaxing. The shower may have been the most luxurious part of the room. Given the busy location, it was actually peaceful in our room on the 3rd floor. Overall the room was good for the price and location, but better for a short stay in our circumstance.
