Lovely little property in the a great position in Cancun town. It is walking distance to the main tourist market, near a plaza that has evening stalls with food and shopping and walking distance to ADO station. It is off the main roads so is nice and quiet and it has a pool which is an added bonus after a day walking around the city.

I think I spent too much time in Cancun. I was there 3 nights before a flight and spent a day at markets, a day at the beach and then had this extra day with nothing really to do. I would have stayed only 2 nights.

A great cozy hotel in city centre. We only had one night in Cancun before catching our flight and we decided to stay in the city rather than in the hotel area, and I'm very glad that we did! The hotel is right by the main square, restaurants, and bars but still very quiet. The room was comfortable and the host was lovely.

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel and I love it! It is small and charming- it feels like a home away from home! The service is excellent- the staff are very welcoming and friendly! It was very clean with a big comfy bed. The garden is beautiful! You feel like you're in an oasis amidst all the lovely plants. The pool is a perfect place to chill, with comfortable seats to hang out in. Breakfast is delicious and huge, made fresh and to order by the very lovely and friendly cook! It is in the perfect location- close to the 'real' part of Cancun- near the bus terminal, markets and bustling square.

The staff was great from start to finish. Alberto was friendly and gave me thorough walk through of all amenities. Luis’ breakfast was an incredible way to start the day. The staff showed interest in my experience and satisfaction. I could bring any questions and there was never anything but a smile and an answer. I would especially like to acknowledge Alberto’s great suggestions for food and drink in the area. Luis makes a gourmet breakfast experience and the food was incredible. (Fruit, Cappuccino, toasts, eggs made your way, avocado toast, yogurt parfait). Monica is running an incredible establishment and was available whenever communication was needed. Location was walkable and safety wasn’t a concern at all. Parque De Palapas is literally a stones throw away. The housekeeping staff did a great job.

We stayed here for a night before flying from the airport but wished we could’ve stayed for longer. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful (and accommodated amazingly to gluten free), the room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the park and the pool area is super clean and relaxing. Lovely to have the small touches all thought about such as nice shampoo/conditioners and lovely handmade soaps supplied. The location was great in walking distance to restaurants/bars and a large Chedraui store. Most of all the property owner and all of the team were so kind and welcoming to us. They even offered us a late check out at no extra cost as our flight wasn’t until the evening, nothing felt too much to ask. Definitely recommend!!

Beautiful hidden gem close the bus station and an enjoyable market area. Very friendly staff and the pool area is wonderful. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved it! Everything exceeded our expectations… the hosts are super lovely and so courteous ( thank you so much!), the place is a hidden gem is every way … little oasis radiating love 💕 . We would definitely stay again next time.

It was a wonderful experience staying at the Quetzal! Staff were excellent and the breakfast was soo delicious! The scenery in the pool area was superb too with all the plants and greenery! Highly recommend

Did not see a sign for the place, so finding it was a little tricky

We had a wonderful stay here! Beautifully decorated and comfortable boutique hotel. The breakfasts were so fresh and delicious and were an excellent start to the day. Friendly & helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We are so glad we stayed here in downtown Cancun instead of on the hotel zone, it felt more authentic than the tourist zone.

- Great location: walking distance to the ADO bus stop, easy to catch buses to the hotel zone (if you wanna see that part of town), easy to get to Puerto Juarez to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres, nice market just around the corner in the evenings - nice and friendly staff - awesome breakfast (great variety and they serve you a lot of food :)) - quiet

the place might need some renovation, everything looks quite used/old - even thought the friendly owners make up for it :)

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The people are kind and helpful and willing to help you with everything. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located, it was quiet and the neighborhood was safe. Best part the perfect breakfast.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel — it’s a quiet and cute. The staff is very friendly and genuinely tries their best to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was tasty and a nice start to the day. The area around the hotel is with several spots within walking distance to grab a bite.

My room was comfortable and clean. The made to order breakfast was delicious. Great start to the day. I also enjoyed cooling off in the pool at the end of the day.

The property is extremely clean. The staff here are very very helpful and go above and beyond. The breakfasts are amazing and the pool is beautiful. It’s walking distance to the hotel zone and to the Parque de Palapas.

The neighborhood looked a little difficult at first. Lots of trash and graffiti, but it’s safe. Mosquitos are a problem here. The pool is a little difficult to get out of for some, with no steps or stairs. The property is quiet but close to great restaurants and things to do.

Wonderful hosts, making it easy to check in, and very attentive to our needs. Location was superb, a block from the main plaza where we saw the 55th anniversary celebration of Cancun, close to ADO bus, too. The pool was divine, and room very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and we were able to relax to the fullest. Thanks Quetzal!

Excellent place to stay if you want to stay in the heart of cancun. Located near local hotspots, easy access to good restaurants and local markets. Breakfast was excellent and rooms were airy and clean. 10/10 would stay again!

A wonderful B&B in an excellent location in Cancún. Mónica was so kind and helpful and gave some excellent advice on how to enjoy our final day in Mexico. We also greatly appreciated how responsive she was on Booking.com to our questions!

The Quetzal is in a fantastic location that makes exploring Cancun effortless. It’s just steps from Parque de las Palapas—where locals gather for food, drinks, and a vibrant evening atmosphere—and only minutes from the ADO bus station, making airport transfers and day trips a breeze. What truly sets this place apart is the care and thoughtfulness of the people who run it. They go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay. Fresh flowers were thoughtfully placed in the bathroom and around the room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was both sumptuous and healthy, clearly prepared with heart and intention—right down to the cappuccino topped with cinnamon instead of cocoa powder. Small details like these made my stay truly memorable.

Would be nice if they have a signboard… but that being said, they were nice to contact me via booking.com app to out if we were arriving and waited outside the hotel to ensure we could find them.

The hotel is near centrum and bus station. Good choice for 1 or 2 nights on the way to next directions. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Thank you
