If you’re not there for a party there is very loud music outside.

Perfect location, we loved the dock on the lake. Amazing place to chill for the afternoon. The rooms are clean.

Staff were lovely but we felt we couldn’t get a straight answer about kayaking tours. We were told at check in that there was a boat trip on the morning but then oh it’s actually a kayaking tour and we should book soon or there will be no places. When we tried to book it wasn’t running at all and the boat tour was back on? So we were a little confused. We wanted to get out early on the kayaks as we had limited time in Bacalar. We were informed that we could rent kayaks from 9am but when we went out at 8.30 ish the kayak rental was open - not sure if just open or if it opened earlier ..

Lovely location! Great that you can rent kayaks from right out the back on the jetty. We paid 350 MX for 1 hour on the water.

Lagoon front and incredible facilities. Such a fun hostel to stay at, loads of activities going on and an in house tour agency to explore the area. Restaurant and bar are great too. We had a fantastic time. All you need and incredible vibes. Ali was so kind and helpful!

It was a nice and warm welcome with Ali, she is really nice and coule answer all my questions. Best view on the lake from the private room, great things to do at the hostel. Nice vibe.

The A.C. didn’t work some nights. The beds could have more privacy (extra curtains), and a place to charge your phone and leave some of your stuff (floating shelves). The kitchen could have more mugs and eating cutlery.

The hostel is next to the Lagoon, which is incredible.

The location is great for the lake, you can swim straight off the pier. Staff were great, super friendly and helpful, especially Ali who arranged taxis for us. Actually stayed twice during my Mexico trip. Definitely recommend.

Kitchen could've been a little better stocked - eg there was no proper oven only a little toaster oven but without any trays to put in it

One of the best hostels we've stayed at during our 5 months in south & Central America. Location is perfect - right on the edge of the lagoon with a pontoon right into the water, and only a 5-10 min walk to the main square. The Wednesday night party was great - lots of free food/drink. Staff were really friendly. Lots of fun activities going on. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing really. The third party company for water activities can be a little challenging to deal with. Always book your activities with the hotel staff so they can help you.

It is a party hostel which sometimes is nice but unfortunately when I wanted to use a toilet there was a drunk girl on the floor and a smell of vomit... so a little bit of inconvenience ;) there is a spare toilet in the hostel so it was fine. Stuff in the bar was very friendly 10/10 but reception let's say 8/10 there were fine but I felt more welcome in other hostels in Mexico.

Very good location. Nice kitchen- I like having tea so kettle is a bonus. Generally very pretty place.
