Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing about the brewery here. It's fantastic. BUT Tulum is really expensive, especially the hotel zone and along the beach area here.
The room was great. The pool fantastic. The property is really cool and has a fantastic vibe. Initially the all inclusive package seemed a bit pricey, plus we thought we would get out and go to the beach most days, or visit a cenote. But meals in the restuarant were amazing, but expensive. But I must say it again - Amazing. This was some of the best dining we've had anywhere. Although we're not really foodies and don't frequent Michelin hatted restuarants. So ended we ended up opting for the all inclusive package. Its actually quite good value for Tulum (one of the most expensive places we've travelled to - New York and London expensive). There is a cenote (Tankah) across the road that was nice to visit. But we really spent our few days by the pool, cocktail in hand (or beer), dining on fine food in the restuarant. It was nice indulgent few days. I would highly recommend staying here and getting the all inclusive package.

GermanyThe hotel is quite isolated from the restaurant of Tulum, you definitely need a car to comfortably move around, it is located in front of the highway and hence is very noisy from early in the morning until late at night which does not allow for a good late sleep, the pool areas where not very clean, the bed sheets, towels and pillows where very stinky and even when we asked to changed them the new ones still smelled also not helping for a pleasant sleep. Overall enjoyed staying there but will not recommend it or come back.
The architecture and design of the hotel is beautiful, the staff both in the hotel and the restaurant are fantastic and the restaurant itself serves one of the best food in Tulum! Unlimited beer was also a nice add-on. Breakfast was delicious!

United KingdomNo point opting for breakfast included because it’s only fruit and a coffee. It shouldn't be an option to pay extra for or they should do a full breakfast with this option. Pool was very shady unless you woke up early in the morning. We had to go on the rooftop pool instead which was lovely but no sunbeds up there. The bars at the pool areas are falsely advertised on social media and show that the bars are open and serving drinks and looks like there’s a DJ etc but we stayed for 2 weeks and all three outside bars never opened once meaning you had to just have the beers from the fridge. It made it seem quite empty and was clear that the hotel hadn’t fully been finished as there was just builders working. I feel like the price should have been a little cheaper if the hotel was still undergoing work as this wasn’t apparent before booking. We were quite disappointed with the water for our shower in the room as this took around 5 mins to warm but when it did it was scorching hot so was a little annoying each day to try and get this right. They should have a spa facility as this would improve the hotel. The beer spa was very overpriced and worked out about £500 GBP so we didn’t try this out but wouldn’t been a nice touch if this was included in the price. Would recommend hiring a car as when we stayed in Jan 2024 taxis were costing around £30 to get into the centre which is around a 10 min journey so this was a bit of a shock for us. But the hotel suggested a shuttle bus which was handy.
Reception staff were lovely, could use WhatsApp any time and could ask them for anything. The architecture of the hotel was incredible and stylish. Loved the fact it was a sustainable hotel. Food tasted amazing. Very relaxing vibe. The unlimited beer was delicious and really helpful free water was provided and topped up for our fridge in the room.

PolandThe hotel is near very noisy street, and you can hear the noise even in your room. The bed and pillows could be more comfy. The breakfast was disappointing, in your room there is only included a coffee, juice and a small plate of fruits. If you want anything else you need to order it from the menu and pay for it.
The hotel is a work of art in itself, really beautiful. The staff is really helpful and kind, a welcome drink on the arrival. The hotel is clean. There is a lot of free beer In the room.

United KingdomPools were unclean. Mouldy seat coverings outside. Building work going on (so wouldn’t have been able to relax around the pool). Poor location - very far away from Tulum. Room we were given initially had no hot water and the toilet didn’t work. “Upgrade”we were offered had a plunge pool that wasn’t clean, towels were dirty (and promptly changed) but, the bedding had cigarette burns and the cushions on the bed stunk of damp. It’s Next door to a very busy & LOUD highway (they provide earplugs). We chose to stay elsewhere. Shame, we were looking forward to staying here.
Nothing! We could see what they were trying for - we only stayed a night due to the facilities being so unclean and poor.

United StatesI guess it’s off season but the common area could have been more clean, the ponds could have been on just more Presentable to new customers .. we go all Inclusive but they don’t have certain thing. On that menu which forces you to purchase food .. the breakfast could have more option for meat , no steak sausage bacon or salmon on the menu.
It’s private and quite , although they play great music ,, the food was amazing even tho they ran out of a few things .. room was clean a few spider webs but to be expected.. room was so close to pool it was great .. room service was great too ..

United StatesThere was no hot water for two days taking a decent length and shower cause the floors to get flooded daily and I have to constantly use towels to wipe it up. The toilet was getting clogged every time you used it. It was very hard to get out of bed. I did not like that. I had to pay for an app in order to get into my room. There was no staff 24 seven staff left at 8 PM so I was not able to report the issues especially on the app. there is no section to report maintenance issues. The pictures online were very deceiving to what I saw in person. The water looked like it was contaminated not clean at all. I did not like from a safety perspective that there was only one way and one way out, and it was controlled by a thumb so if power went out, I would be stuck inside. I did not like as a tourist that someone old enough to be, my grandfather was watching the property. It did not make me feel safe at all. I attempted to leave two days early and called booking account to my reservation in Booking.com refused to counselor because the hotel refused to respond to their email so I left and had to get another hotel and I was not able to get my money back for the two days that I was there. I spoke to seven customer service representatives at booking.com and all of them were unable to help me so moving forward, I will not be using Booking.com because as a paying customer if I want to cancel my reservation, I should have the leisure too and they told me that I can leave, but I would not get my money back And considering that I reported my concerns and I had to get a whole Nother hotel and spend more money and I didn’t get a refund back I’m dissatisfied as a customer
The restaurant next-door had very good food

CanadaPlease STAY AWAY! The hotel is in a sketchy location. We had robbery in our room the very 1st evening, our credit cards, jewelry and cash got stolen. The hotel does not have cameras in strategic locations and the rooms we booked did not mention anywhere the absence of cameras on the floor we booked. It was beat around the bush with police and the property management as they could not identify the break-in due to absence of security cameras. Instead they asked us to leave the premises at midnight instead of shifting our rooms to a secure location. I raised the incident right away with Booking.com, yet to hear back on refund as we were chased away the 1st night and couldn’t stay even a night at the property.

PolandExtremely loud place (from highway) so we had to resign from great room with private pool to other side of facility because you can’t sleep due to all-day traffic. There’s a feeling you don’t have any doors and sleep next to street. They play shi**y club music all-day long at the main pool that you can hear in all rooms so we need to ask almost everyday to turn down. All bathrooms have wooden parts which were not impregnated and the mold was everywhere and smells really bad. You have to wait long time for hot water. One day there was no hot water in the morning at all. No place to seat in the room, only the bed. Entering the room from pool side to apartment 1 was ridiculous. You can hear all the voices from amenities in the room: flowing water and fridge you can’t turn off. Regular breakfast was a joke. Only a fruit plate, dry bread with butter and coffee. Needed to pay for anything else. We tried only once, all the time had to go to Tulum for breakfast. There’s no access to beach, the nearest one is paid.
Unlimited beer! Comfortable bed. Spacious room and bathroom. Cozy hotel with nice pool. Big and safe parking. Design was beautiful. Staff reacted on our needs immediately. Very helpful and nice people working. Ceiling fan and A/C was quiet.

NetherlandsI really don’t understand all the negative comments! It’s maybe a little bit away from the village and the beach, but with a rental it’s al easy, especially with the free parking Beach is A 3 minute drive across the street, Tulum is 5 minutes
Beautiful atmosphere and vibe! The 2 pools were nice, a lot of spots and corners to go to. Really attentive and pro active staff , constant contact and tips with WhatsApp and you can also order trough there, everyone spoke basic English. Breakfast, Food and drinks where amazing and all included in the all inclusive rate Room was beautiful and everything you needed was there. No problems with the noise of the highway, especially when you are at the downstairs pool, the only thing you hear is the music and the birds

GermanyI didn‘t enjoy entering the rooms via passing the pool and a lot of sand which automatically was in your room. I also didn‘t like that we were ‚upgraded‘ into a smaller room with pool entrance- even though we booked a bigger room with a balcony. This happenednwothoit notifying us. We could switch rooms but they made us feel very bad about it.
The location of the hotel was nice but you do need a car.

AustraliaThe hotel is new and the owner has put a lot of developmental thought into the area, however there are some operational faults making the stay unpleasant. 1. The noise was unbearable. The traffic was noisy but the speaker outside our room was extremely loud with party music and we had to ask it to be turned down. The music from the restaurant played until midnight and was extremely loud in the rooms from 9pm. The 6 nights we stayed there I was unable to get one good night of sleep. 2. "Continental Breakfast" was just some slices of bread and some fruit. When asked for a cappuccino, was replied with it wasn't included despite it was on previous days. Breakfast was included in our package for all days however on our check out day on 01-Jan, it wasn't cleaned up from NYE party. I understand it was a festive time however as an operational hotel, we were disappointed Breakfast wasn't served. Comparing it to other hotels at the same value, I don't think this would have happened. 3. Staff seemed to always assume our order at the restaurant. There could have been a language barrier but when using translate to tell them, they were not attentive and things often misunderstood. 4. Shower water was temperamental. One day was blistering hot and the other there was no hot water at all. 5. It was only on our 4th night we were shown the greater extent of the precinct with cenote and hop garden, the map should be provided upon arrival.
The design of the precinct was amazing, the rooms were stylish, the spa area going out to the hop garden and its own cenote was vast. The fridge was always stocked with water and beer. Hotel restaurant food was very good except for the breakfast. Beer tour of the Brewery was informative. Location was close to town however you need to consider transport into centro as it is on the freeway and you cannot simply ride a bicycle. You have to consider costs of taxi or we hired a scooter (which is also cost / risk riding on freeway).

SwitzerlandLocated next to a road, the hotel was still under construction during our stay. Lost of electricity and noises were not pleasant. Also, the backdoor from the room led to a disposal which was very smelly. The breakfast was "included" but only coffee, fruits and 6 slices of bread was part of it. The reception did not provided us any information about the spa nor the restaurants. The music around the commun pool was very loud and could be heard in the room while trying to sleep. Finally, the room we booked was "with a private pool" which we paid extra, but the room did not have any private pool. Very disappointed and highly NOT recommended

MexicoI really think nothing can get better. I was surprised step by step, that everything went so well in so many ways. Really I talked with my wife, and there is nothing to say as "something we didn't like". This place is far from awesome! We even liked it better than Azulik, and we've been to Azulik a couple of times, now we feel that Azulik is pretentious, and Tulum Brew House fills that spot better than anything.
We loved that the location was far but not super away from everything. It was a quiet amazing and beautiful spot full of nature around. The service was spectacular, they went further every time they could. I was surprised by how eco-friendly the place is, and you can totally see it and taste it and the beer is awesome! There are no words to describe this place, you have to stay to feel it and let it take you.

United StatesToo expensive
This is the hotel of the Cerveceria Tulum, a great beer, by the way. Lovely organic decoration, a beautiful pool with very comfy beds to relax, plus another rooftop pool with a feature waterfall; that's where we spent the most time. The restaurant has ridiculous prices; we had good food but skipped the wine. We didn't know the beer in the fridge was free until late, so we had a couple of beers, but you can have them all, and they said they'd restock the fridge if you ran out. Overall, it was a very nice experience; despite being right next to the highway, the room was quiet, and we slept great. You can hear the traffic if you are in the pool, though, but it wasn't too bad.
