Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFood in a couple of the on site restaurants was very pricey. The restaurant by TPC golf course needs serious attention. First, the service was very slow for a small restaurant, the food and portions can improve. Second, we each asked for Iced Tea to drink and whatever the beverage was that they brought us wasn’t Tea, it was very unpleasant and we all had to ask for bottled water for our meals. And worst of all, the dining area was filled with FLIES! We all spent our entire meal swatting flies away. We mentioned the issue to our waiter but I don’t think he received our message. The rest of our stay, when other guests asked us for dinner recommendations, we told them to stay away from that place. Finally, we (2 couples) listened to a Timeshare presentation. As an incentive to listen to the presentation we were offered 15% discounts on golf and fishing. The timeshare people worked with the Concierge to set up fishing for 2. When they came back to us with the fishing trip, the trip was double the $ of any panga boat I’ve ever been on. The offer was $720 for the 2 of us. We declined and found a fishing charter on our own for $350, so their 15% off offer was still double what we ended up paying. We attended the presentation and our friends ended up buying a timeshare week. Our friends listened to everything and agreed to terms. The timeshare people told our friends that someone would be contacting them the Monday after they got home to discuss their package and we finished our meeting. Instead of calling our friends on Monday, they called on Saturday, our first day home and they told my friends that they made a mistake on the interest rate on their contract, saying that the rate should be 14%, not 10% like their signed contract says. I’m not sure what else to say about that but I know it’s things like that is why many people don’t want to deal with any timeshare programs.
Great view and location

United StatesHow remote the resort is. It’s 30 minutes from Loreto. To get into town to explore you have to do a tour, rent a car, or get a taxi.
It was a beautiful place for relaxation & resting. Not much going on after dinner.

United StatesNothing really. Not enough flights from Los Angeles so getting there isn’t easy.
The setting is superb. The vibe is simple, easy and peaceful. The facilities are spacious and well maintained. Beautiful beaches. Great hiking trails overlooking the Sea. The staff is generally very friendly, in particular Joshua at The Market Restaurant who is now like a member of our family. This is a great rest and relax spot without the fuss of Cabo.

United StatesI booked a snorkeling trip beforehand. I did not realize it was from a third party. I thought I booked through the hotel. There is a disconnect between the hotel and the excursions. Make you you triple check. Also there is a disconnect with the hotel shuttle. I booked a shuttle back to the airport way in advance. I wanted to make sure they're was a shuttle for my family. We went to the front desk to get our shuttle back to the airport. Low and behold they didn't have my prepaid reservation. Apparently the hotel didn't email the shuttle service. DOUBLE CHECK EXCURSIONS, ESPECIALLY THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE. I was told all shuttle that morning was booked!!!!! I eventually got my family to the airport but I was not happy, especially because o booked and paid for a shuttle in advance!
Loreto is a beautiful place. Clean beaches and the facility is only 12 years old. I like the made to order restaurants. The food is a better quality than other all inclusive resorts. I felt safe , but we never left the resort. I also liked they had tennis and pickelball courts.

United Statesthe only complaint I have was the golf course charges separately and uses a fixed 20:1 exchange rate for USD, when the current rate is 17.75 to 1. This means you will pay 12.5% MORE than their advertised rate in dollars. kind of like false advertising to be honest.
location was amazing. staff was amazing. golf course was amazing.

United StatesThe first room we were given was older, dated with double beds, little balcony set back along a wall and was an extension to a family suite….at over $800 a night we were disappointed…looked like a motel 6….however, after requesting another room close to what we reserved, the staff was great and made changes to a newer section of the hotel that was beautiful.

United StatesExpense to travel into to town and limitations of available transportation. The "expensive" restaurant (all inclusive" so not really expensive) not really any better than those right on resort
extremely friendly and helpful staff. One is pampered from moment you walk in until you leave. The staff attended to your every need. Great to have room service in timely manner 24 hours a day. Staff always available for your needs. Poolside side staff would provide you with whatever you needed. Wish I was a good golfer as the course was beautiful. Cannot say enough positive about this resort. We will certainly return as it is very relaxing.

MexicoThe only thing I found that needs improvement was the acoustic in Casa Mia Restaurant, where the food was delicious by the way, but it was so loud, it was disturbing.
The property is a real gem, but what I loved the most was the spectacular trails around it, easy to do and with incredible views, and the chocolate truffles they leave you during turndown service :) the WIFI was super fast, which was helpful. The room was impeccably clean and the bed, OMG I didn't want to leave it in the morning. the Staff was super friendly and kind. Food was great too.

South AfricaShould have had more adult activities in the evening, cocktail hour for example. Also needs a bar area to sit down and relax inside where evening drinks can be had in comfort, it's the restaurants or nothing which isn't very relaxing. Staff need to calm down in removing plates post eating. It often feels.like you are being rushed when they continued to clean plate away as you sit there and may not have finished!
Food variety in restaurants. Golf course was superb. Well sign posted walk with trees named etc. Room was amazing. Staff were super friendly and extremely attentive, especially when we were lounging by the pool. A definite treat yourself experience.

United StatesEven with ear plugs I could not sleep from thin walls and howling winds. The upscale restaurant was more presentation flair than actually high quality food. Glad I didn’t do the all inclusive and instead made trips into town to find local places
