Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United StatesUnfortunately, some of the restaurants are becoming very expensive, like the breakfast buffet (although a 2 for 1 is offered in the early morning), and El Patron. Since the place was built in 2003-2004, it is starting to show some wear and tear. In 2023, the pool was very cloudy and the water fountains weren't working.
We have been coming Villa del Palmar Flamingos on and off since 2004. Since 2022, we have been coming once or twice a year to accommodate my parents. The staff is exceptional! We love the pool and the pizza/bar and Italian restaurants. We enjoy walking the beach and using the canoes.

United StatesThe staff is not on the same page and you get conflicting information and some are wrong. When we arrived at check in that person who is the first person you meet needs to be reminded that that fact. If she smiled I bet it would have been the first time in her tenure. I asked for something and was dismissed. I had requested since the original booking for a high floor with Ocean View. Well every room has an Ocean View. The room we stayed in was very nice but I could hear everything going on in the lobby and early morning staff movements.
It is well kept. But I have to take exception with management. When you have parties or functions the property should be cleaned thoroughly and all the portable furniture should be put away before the guests wake in the morning. The room we had was kept beautifully clean and the woman that turned down the bedding at night has such a pretty smile. She enjoyed her job. Most of the staff was like that.

United StatesPaid for a junior suite and my daughter paid for a regular room and her room was bigger than mine. When I asked they said there was no difference, just the price which was a big difference. They said they would change us to a different room since the one they gave us had a few things that needed fixing, but front lady was not very nice about that. Not until my husband was upset and complained, they gave us a different room… really did take a “man” to talk, To get heard?

CanadaIt was too isolated . If you wanted to experience any local culture you had to take an expensive cab or walk for miles . Also the floors and the carpet runners in the hotel room were absolutely filthy.
It was a beautiful resort . If you didn’t want to leave the resort everything was available there.

CanadaToo many people putting towels out to save chairs then never coming to sit in them. Waiter at one of the restaurants failed to mention the cost of a 1700 peso bottle of wine that wasn’t part of our all inclusive package. Not much going on in the evening.
