Nice place with a beautiful roof terrace. Good valur for money.

Privacy was a bit missing in my room, cause people from the terrace just walked by my window. Rules are strict in the house.

Location was awesome, really close to historic district. The whole place looks so cool and the effort put into it is definitely noticed. This place has so much personality and that is why I chose it over others. The parking was also good. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, it made me feel so at ease and unworried. The deck areas were very nice to relax in and enjoy the weather. They bring the vibes. It was definitely worth it staying here.

If the rooms had a mini fridge that would have been baller, but I didnt check to see what refrigeration they have if any .

Good place, colorful. It was a good stay and appartment is not far from city center.

The room was clean and there was a very friendly house dog and two cats to pet. There are a number of comfortable patios and many beautiful plants everywhere. Property is on a gated street and feels very safe as did the neighborhood. I think this property is suited to a younger or very short term traveler as it had a hostel feel.

My room was on the roof and I had to climb two very narrow metal staircases with my luggage. There was nothing in the booking info that gave any suggestion of this arrangement. The woman that was there for check-in did not speak English and my Spanish wasn’t good enough to discuss with her how displeasing this was. I honestly thought I could make the most of it but it got the better of me. I limited venturing out of my room to only once per day as I wanted to limit having to navigate the stairs. This made my stay less than ideal as I prefer to have morning coffee shortly after waking and then get ready for my day. Honestly, I felt a bit trapped. The property is on a gated street. Staff never informed me that gate is locked at 10pm or how I should get inside. I did get a quick response when I messaged for help and was promptly let inside. I wish instructions would have been given to me on arrival. The shared kitchen was very dark, with old and outdated appliances.

Shower was a bit touchy- either ice water or lava and low pressure.

Amazing place with great owners! Beautiful colors and design. Plus points for a very safe location and a possibilty to buy food and drinks with a good price. Special award for the family pets, who are super friendly :) Our favorite was Petra the cat, who sleeps on your lap. 💜

-The style of the house is very modern and vibrant! -Nice view from the top floor and amazing garden -Amazing staff very friendly and polite -Common areas are well maintained

-The stair to climb up to the top floor are small and with a luggage this can be a issue. -The room I stayed was a bit dusty and cold during the night. -It wasn’t a heater or A/C only a ventilator -The bathroom sink is Barbie size

We had a nice stay at Casa Maguey. The decoration of the place was pretty cool, with so much love and attention to detail put into every corner. The abundance of plants and the terraces made it feel like a cozy oasis. The neighborhood is very safe and residential, with plenty of stores and places to eat within walking distance. Plus, the metro is just a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to reach the city center. They also have a little 'store' in the building, where you can pick up basic items like snacks and drinks and simply leave the money in a box—very convenient.

However, there were a couple of downsides. Occasionally, someone would practice the piano, and the sound carried into our room. We could laugh at the endless first notes of "Für Elise," but it did get a bit annoying after a while. Additionally, while the neighborhood is safe and well-connected, there aren’t many activities or attractions in the immediate area.

Amazing staff, just incredibly friendly and helpful, with a beautiful space. The art and plants and layout are great, it's like an oasis. I really can't say enough about Jimena, Jorge, and Eduardo, they made my stay special. And I didn't get the name of the cleaning woman, but also very kind! I can only recommend it.

Nice and quite clean place with a common kitchen which was very helpful. By metro not far from the city centre. In our room there was a problem with a tap in the bathroom - the water was scarce.

Location and amenities

Casa Maguey is charming and comfortable. The space is creatively decorated and has the feel of a home with the professionalism of a good hostel. I liked it so much I extended my stay for an extra 4 days.

Beautiful hotel, amazing hospitality, very good location. And an extremely friendly cat that loves sleeping on your lap.

Clean room, interesting location, nice hosts.

Check In can be a little confusing, would recommend coming during the day.
