Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Bed- it was spacious (king size) but a bit uncomfortable (too firm) for my taste Rooftop - restricted hours Room pictures need to be updated to reflect different room types/access

Everything, friendly staff, clean, excelent breakfast I absolutely recomend it, the view from the terrace is great. The place is new, walking distance from the zocalo. You won't be disappointed.

We could hear other guests making a bit of noise on our first night/ walls a bit thin.
Great location, great value for money. Nice breakfast on the rooftop. Staff were really nice.

Room door lock was a bit clunky
Staff was very very hospitable, helped me with everything including information, calling a cab. Going out of their way to provide great service. Really great location. facilities to do yoga, which I really liked.

The location is perfect, not in the centre but just 10 mn from walking distance.away.. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is big enough, and clean. There is a roof top with an amazing view with access to a fridge and a kitchen. We went back twice within a week. We could have been back a third time if it wasn't full.

Perfect place for a visit to oaxaca . Superb roof terrace with kitchen. Panoramic view of the city. Helpful staff. Good location quiet but close enough to main square.

The uphill walk at the end of the day...but the view totally makes up for it!
Our room was very spacious, with a nice kitchen area, and the bathroom had a light over the mirror for doing makeup & hair - so rare! The staff, especially Anna, is super nice and very helpful. And the huge rooftop terrace has a panoramic view of the entire city and surrounding mountains.

It was quiet but only a few minutes footwalk to the heart of the Centro. The owners (a family business) have been very kind, helpful and sweet. the rooftop view and the kitchen on the open rooftop was great. We made our breakfast there every morning and there is a possibility to make coffee in the room. We could refill our water bottles for free. We really enjoyed to stay at Yabahni. Thank you :)

The location was great, close to the best part of Centro with easy access to cafes and bars. Love the colour of the surrounding area and the view from the roof top is the best.

Not the best sound proof walls, and the door lock has a gap big enough that does require urgently fixing both for room climate and security reasons. They provide very cheap and good tours but ours didn't go exactly as plan as we ended up having half of the tour in Spanish and with a different group due to some bad organization (not sure if it was the tour or the hostel's fault, but honestly it's just a minor inconvenience for us given the cheap price). Everything else was great
the terrace has one of the most beautiful views over the city. Extremely clean, they would make our bed and clean everyday, even hang some of our clothes for us. Overall nice staff.

Staff was to harsh with visitors.
Really cool terasse there. However, no visitors are allowed, which I dont understand. I once brought a friend up into the room and they immeditely came by to know and say she needs to leave. They could be a bit more chill
