They really ensure you are enjoying your stay and will check on you everyday whether everything is going well or not. I felt really homey and safe staying here. They also have local coffee and bread for all the guests in the kitchen area which is really really delicious.

I think it is quite common with these types of buildings in Penang but the walls are very thin! You can hear everything from the surrounding rooms. Maybe this is why they provide complimentary ear plugs on arrival

Close to the mosque and the praid 5 times in a day but the property provides you with earplugs so the noise doesn’t bother you, and they work perfectly.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aayu sekchuan. The building has a lovely heritage charm but feels modern and well-kept inside. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is super convenient, with lots of food, cafes, and sights within walking distance. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in Penang!

Near a temple. Although, they provided ear plugs which was sooooo helpful, i slept great!

Could have hanger in bathroom for towel and clothes. Soap dispenser better to be wall mounted as difficult to pump soap with limited space in bathroom.

The first thing you will notice upon arrival is the friendly smiles from the staff. The hostel is spotlessly clean, everything appears to be cleaned a couple of times a day and well equipped kitchenette. It's affordable making it budget friendly for all solo traveller. Thanks AAYU!!

There was no window in our room, so it felt a bit stuffy at times and meant there was no natural light. Other than that, it was fine ☺️

Really good location! Right in the centre of where everything is in Georgetown, we just walked everywhere. Really lovely and friendly staff that showed us around and sent useful information across! The property was very clean and comfortable too.
