Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThere was no body at reception for check-in. There was a sign posted that there was no Wi-Fi, even though they advertised on Booking.com that there is free Wi-Fi available with an 8.2 rating for Wi-Fi. I had to call a phone number on the front window and wait 10 minutes for someone to arrive for assistance with check-in. Huge disappointment. I was left crying in frustration. ( I usually don't complain, I just refuse to leave a review, in protest. However, this blatant misrepresentation and fraud could not go unchecked.)

MalaysiaThe hotel is okay to crash, but it doesnt look like the listing photos. The toilet doesnt have a seat, the mattress are dirty and theres smell of mildew. My pillow doesnt have a sheet and i asked for it from the receptionist. The person gave me a pillow cover with LOTS of hair covered in it. I will not recommend becuase this place is dirty but if you’re desperate to crash for one night theres better options for the price. 😭
