How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe love the breakfast spread. Most of the mains are similar but they change the pastries and fruits. The staff were very attentive, nice and approachable. The freshly fried kuoy teow is yummy and one of the staff was really kind to fry a mee goreng version when requested! No grumpy face even though they were busy. they have fresh press juices ie celery and cucumber but its only available till 8am. Thats's a pity! We have some vouchers daily (thanks to booking.com) and we spent time in the cafe for night tea and pastries which is relaxing and nice. One evening, we bought a pastry and asked for a candle as it was my daughter's birthday. The staff (6-7 of them) brought to her with a birthday song and wish!! Shah, one of the staff sang beautifully in soprano tone!! It made our day!! He prepared a special ice-kacang for her!! Thank you to all the staff at ZEST deli and cafe! Not forgetting the lady at the front desk, Miss Sally who serves with a smile, patiently answering all my queries! Location is excellent - a little away from the vibes of Jonker but we enjoyed the free/complimentary shuttle to Jonker and a shopping mall. However, its only available on weekends!
We had to wait for an hour or so for one of our rooms which is after the check-in time. Apparently they have limited connecting rooms but staff did keep us updated. However, it would be nice to freshen up the bathroom. There is a non-pleasant lingering smell in the toilet.

Verified reviewFriendly staff, nice breakfast, room cleanliness and spacious. Hotel carpark near to lobby, easy accessible. Authentic local asian food and coffee shops just right beside the hotel. Convenience store near hotel.
The bed and pillows not too comfy. Not enough hooks in bathroom to hang towels and laundry. Bathroom hot water took quite some time to heat up.

Verified reviewStaffs are very polite and location is very strategic. Love the swimming pool and is equiped with bath room with shower gel and shampoo provided. The shuttle van to Jonker street was very convenient on Friday night.
However, can have improvement on breakfast. We stayed 2 nights, and both breakfast with identical spreads. Can offer changes in hot dishes.

We checked in quite late, around 7pm, and had to wait approximately 45 minutes for our bags to be delivered to our room, which was not a great start. On our final day, the toilet became clogged, which was very inconvenient and not something one would expect during a hotel stay. In addition, we booked through Booking.com and were entitled to an RM50 daily meal voucher. Unfortunately, this was never communicated to us, and we only found out upon check-out — by then, it was too late to make use of it. Overall, I feel that the service has quite a lot of room for improvement.

Verified reviewHave been staying in this hotel since Ramada days, and was happy that it reopened with a new owner post Covid. Location was perfect for my purpose, best Asian hawker food in the neighborhood and close to my family home.
Bathroom a little dirty but decent. Window was smudged with finger prints.

Verified reviewNice spacious room. Very clean. Breakfast is an absolute perfect. I like all the food stations & the crew were very fast in cleaning up once the guests finished eating breakfast. Pool is ok nice. Location is very good. Infact there is a cafe right opposite this hotel if you want a bite. Our stay at Dussit Princess was awesome! Will definitely come back.
