More access to complimentary drinking water in the rooms as you can't refill your water from the tap. Apart from that, perfect stay.

Beautiful building. Excellent service. Amazing pool with an interesting view of the city. A peaceful hideaway in the middle of busy Chinatown. Lovely restaurant up top. Central location = easy to walk to restaurants and tourist attractions.

Maybe the hotel can do a better job of explaining the unique history of the building along with some of the artifacts on display that are from the original building. We learnt about it from our tour guide. I loved the location. And this was the big reason why we chose the hotel. But some people might be turned off by the reality of being in the middle of historic Chinatown with the city bustle and street life.

Exceptional staff and service. Some of the best in the world. Particularly impressed with Vanessa at Yellow Fin Horse restaurant. The aesthetic is gorgeous, the pool, restaurant, fitness center, and rooftop bar were great. Liked the library also. Loved the location in historic Chinatown. The location was safe also. Everything was unique was fab. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in in the world.

I liked the location and it was a big reason for me to choose Else. But some people might want to be in the more modern and swanky locations with the malls and the city center. Else is close to there but still in the historic part.

Staff. Amazing service. Best in the world amongst the top hotels I’ve encountered. Every single staff member went above and beyond. Food was FAB. Location was great for us in historic Chinatown that is not yet gentrified fully. The aesthetic of the place was just great. Close to the train station which we used. I liked everything.

Everything! No jokes but we are so pleasantly surprised and regret not staying longer. Location wise? Perfect. Just in the edge of Chinatown and coveted Jalan Petaling and central market. Close to Stella. Food was good, pool area amazing, staffs are fantastic. 10 out of 10 must stay.

There was nothing not to love, however maybe a bit more training around timing of food as often breakfast 2 courses arrived almost simultaneously. Coffee was excellent but they often got my order wrong.

Beautiful design boutique hotel right in the middle of vibrant Chinatown. Great pool we used every day, which we had mostly to ourselves. Would not hesitate to recommend. A la carte Breakfast makes a welcome change from buffet. Snacks in the bar excellent too. Great shower & comfy bed. Whilst we were given earplugs we found the hotel very quiet & didn’t need them.

Beautifully renovated boutique small hotel with friendly staff. Only one restaurant is open with limited menu. Interesting history about the building and we like the architecture and the use of natural material. It is situated in Chinatown which is a bit rundown.
