The slight lack of facilities in the room. Like nail cutters, Cotton buds, extra tissue at the front table. The bathroom a little congested.

Some parts of the rooms were not properly looked at, especially the floor edging of kitchenette and powder room entrance is dangerous. - There isn't any ventilation for the kitchenette. - Should have a bigger fridge instead. - The main door should have a magnetic stopper to hold the door. - The twin bedded bathroom shower was clogged and water stagnant and had to wait by pausing shower. - Should have all local radio channels available. - The beds were not that comfortable as expected.

Loved everything. If my room had a bath tub it would have been even better.

The breakfast was provided at the cafe on the ground floor. It had an extensive selaction of food from Asian and Western dishes and was served neatly and attractively.A good salad bar and even ice cream was provided. We had an early appointment and were presently surprised to see that everything was already prepared and ready by 6.30am. The room lay out was good.Large TV but limited choices .If guests could avail internet access to the smart TV that would have provided more options. The bathroom was very well stocked with soap, shampoo and lotions .Unfortunately the conditioner in my bathroom was not topped up sufficienyly but had a fair go at it before it ran out so I can say they were of good quality.The shower was the best , the water pressure was strong and made for a really refreshing and pleasurable wash There were ample restaurants and shops around the hotel , but should really give that food court around the corner a try lots of food and cheap. Loved that fact that the hotel adopted many eco friendly services and consumables.WILL SURELY RETURN.

A bit hard to find walking distance eateries as it is located in a Chinese oriented town. Hard to find halal food nearby. Traffic in Penang is also a nightmare be it working days or the weekends.

Relatively new. Very Clean. Ample parking. Room is comfortable. Able to see the sea. Breakfast is quite a spread. Staff is super friendly. Safe. Near eateries. Facilities are new. Pool is great. But need to travel a bit to go to the island.

The TV isn't Chromecast enabled. Make sure you bring a HDMI cable or else you'll be stuck with the limited channels. Although the pillows were labeled "firm" and "soft", both of them are super soft. Beware if you're a picky sleeper.

The view is great whether you are facing the mountains or penang island. The room was spacious with universal power plugs. The room condition felt brand new.

There were visible strands of hair on the kitchen countertop and a noticeable layer of dust on the table, which gave the impression that the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Another major drawback was the pillow quality—it lacked proper support and unfortunately caused neck pain after a night's sleep. This significantly affected the overall comfort of my stay.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn & Suites Bukit Mertajam. While the room itself was generally okay in terms of layout and amenities, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness.
