Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThere is no wifi because of the location. You need ConnectMe app.
If the day is cool, you can see many different species of birds and butterflies. Smother yourself with mosquito repellent if you plan to hike to the top of the hill.

MalaysiaNo toiletries. Very Small studio not value with the price.
Staying at Jacob Villa (Standard Villa) very small studio. Nature enviroment. No telco connection at this place. You can rest without call or internet. Suggest to bring books for reading. Enjoy the enviroment forest sound. Balcony with greeny view. Cold at night. Fan is available. Cold water and heater is available. Nasi Lemak for breakfast taste not so good. Suggest to bring own food becoz the place is very isolated. Microwave, boil water heater, conduction stove, toaster, freezer and kitchen wear is available. Is summary, it was a great place for staying to relax your body. Forget about gajet and mobile phone. Enjoy the nature.

MalaysiaFor the price they charged, there was no aircon. The kitchen was ill equipped, the cooking utensils were the wrong type for an induction stove, the microwave needs to be checked. Oven toaster fortunately did work. Cupboards were rickety Insect screens or fine net curtains may work to provide peaceful sleep. Mosquito coils are poison
That it is surrounded by jungle

MalaysiaMain disappointment was that this villa did not have aircon. And it gets hot and stuffy in the night as you have to shut all doors because of bugs and insects which might enter from the balcony area. If you want to go to the kitchen through the house, then you have to cross the bathroom! Sometimes to get tea from the kitchen to the bedroom I had to come through the bathroom. In the bathroom, no shampoo provided. Only a basic body wash which you have to double as face wash too. No towel racks too. Finally, for breakfast there should be at least another choice than nasi lemak.
We stayed in Jaya Villa which has 3 rooms - a bedroom with 2 queen bed, a bathroom and then a kitchen with a dining table. And outside the 3 rooms, runs the long balcony overlooking the forest. The Kitchen was one of the most well equipped we have come across in Malaysia. Everything is provided for. The lady from the staff is a very nice person, always smiling. The swimming pool is a small, cute one. There is no WiFi but you can buy a common WiFi for RM 10 per connection. Since there is no cellular signal, you have to buy this for any internet activity. The paid WiFi worked quite well. The nasi lemak breakfast is adequate and tasty.

Malaysia-Probably put a bit more effort on the breakfast, instead of using plastic container, paper wrapped nasi lemak would have been better. - I stayed and Jakob Villa, which is one of the cheapest villa here, it was small, cozy for 2 person but I wish they improve on the bed & blanket, some basic toiletries like shampoo, toothpaste. -There is renovation going on during my stay so it was a little bit unpleasant, but the guy come to our door to say sorry regarding the work. It was only until 5, then we can get our silent evening. Probably could have done the renovation on weekdays. -Pool cleanliness, maybe it was rainy season.
Nice that the provide some bread & jam in the room. I like the electric bbq, definetely a lifesaver since it was raining heavily during my trip. Really cozy and not much mosquitoes to my surprised. There is wifi though a bit slow, but its fine. We are not there for the internet. The dog is so friendly and cute. No AC, but you dont need one it is really cold at night. Excellent customer service by Ms Malani, really attentive to our needs and questions. The staffs is really nice too.
