Sam is a relaxed, considerate host. All rooms have aircon. The beds are comfortable. Location in the heart of the old town is excellent. Close to Jonker Street night market. The hostel is clean and well maintained. Security is good.

Little exterior ventilation in the rooms. No cooking facilities but plenty of options to eat out nearby.

The location is so near to the riverside.

Great location to Jonker street and historical sites of Malacca. Comfy beds and clean bathroom facilities. Cool social area and next to owners cafe.

The aircon can’t be controlled in the room and is set really high. Can be boiling hot in the dorms. Needs to be lowered.

The place wash super cute, clean and calm. Sam, the owner, is incredibely nice and helpful. The bed was super comfy I would definitely come back here !

A beautifully designed, very chill place. Comfy beds and quiet spaces (I got two very good nights of rest); thoughtfully designed and placed outlets, light switches, appliances…it’s those little things that can make a traveler’s day! Clean bathroom and clean, visually attractive common spaces, a friendly and communicative owner. Last but not least, a great location. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you!

Excellent location a few steps from Jonkers Walk. Very clean everywhere. Sam the owner is kind, friendly and helpful. Good quality linen, pillows and towels. Sufficient and roomy toilet/showers (4) and sinks (6). Nicely decorated with eclectic items from the past - even the doors and handles are unique pieces. Lots of books to read/trade. Donation box for unneeded items a future traveler may need.

Rooms are a bit tight, smaller common area. Very small fridge for drinks only, no food allowed. Free filtered water has chlorine smell.

The hostel was very clean and the single room small but very nicely done and practical with a desk, fresh towel and toiletries waiting for you.The host is very attentive, the towels were changed fresh every day. I also stayed one night in the dorm and it was also clean, comfortable beds with curtains and you get a locker. The location is very good, next to the Jonker’s walk. My best accommodation so far on this trip and now in Kuala Lumpur in a hotel that is nothing like it so appreciate a lot!

This hostel is pure vibes! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the laid-back, funky atmosphere. The location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of everything, so you can explore the city easily on foot or hire a bike. Despite being so central, the hostel still feels like a little oasis where you can relax and unwind after a day of adventures. The common areas are social without being overwhelming, and the staff are super friendly, always happy to share local tips. The rooms are clean, comfortable with air con and a fan. If you’re looking for a place that’s fun, well-located, and full of good energy, this is the hostel to book. Highly recommend!

Ola was perfect - it's a fabulous location, the room was perfect, and the key card system to get in and out made it very easy. Go through the cafe to check in.

Enjoyed my stay at Ola so much that I extended it my trip. Great location, just parallel to Jonker street. Fantastic ambience, lovely music playing in the communal area. Great clean rooms and bathrooms. Sam is an exceptional host. I will be back again.

One of the most cutest efficient hostels here in meleka. The beds and AC is perfect and fans. Nice showers. The owner sam is always around soft spoken and wonderfully efficient. The location is spot on and just parallel to the jonker street very close from everything. While going back to sentral bus just take a cab or taxi buses are a bit unreliable.

Indicator or sign board can be better to show guests the place it becomes a bit confusing for the 1st time.

This place is amazing! I was warmly welcomed by Sam, the manager who explained everything to me and showed me around. The place is small but really cozy. The mixed dorm with 4 beds was not very spacious but there were lockers for the most important items. The beds are very spacious and comfortable. Towel, blanket, shampoo, shower gel and water are offered to all guests. Maybe introducing shampoo/soap dispensers in the bathrooms would be more sustainable. The bathrooms are always clean. The common area is cozy and there is always soft and pleasant music. The location is perfect: just a few minutes from the canal where there are many restaurants. Less than 5 minutes walk to Joker street and about 10 minutes to Stadthuys. Many temples, mosques, cafes and restaurants around. Simply a perfect place!

Changing the shampoo/shower gel bottles with dispensers would be more sustainable but other than that, the place is perfect.

Great location and a lovely owner. Bed was comfortable and facilities were very clean. The rooms were kept cool with fans and AC.

Dorms were a bit squishy, but that didn’t detract from how nice the hostel was!

This hostel is the style I like! I review based on my experience. Sam is great to help with check in. The room is clean and didn’t smell, the bed is comfortable and provides 2 pillows, soft and firm to choose between. The toilet is clean and the hydraulic power is just right. Public area is great with plants and some antique collection including the beautiful bike! The sound insulation of the room i stayed is great coz theres Indian ceremony in the earlier morning and my room didn’t hear anything and the common area hear everything. It’s a pleasant stay that i feel great to come back again if i travel Melaka again.

Central location, the hostel was quite clean and well kept. All facilities were available. Sam was quite friendly and hospitable.

Well prepared dom bed, everything was super nice and clean. The host Sam was helpful and you can rent a cycle to roam the area. Location is perfect all the attractions can reach within 5 mins. 😎
