How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing. Everything was good during my stay.
The hotel location very strategic.. staffs very courteous. Easy access for parking. Room spacious and clean. Definitely will repeat stay here if travel to Alor Star. Highly recommended.

The air-con wasn’t working properly so it got really clammy at night. Not very comfortable if you’re trying to get some sleep.
Everything was great. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean. There’s also a communal area where I was able to hang out for a few hours after check-out, and it has snacks and everything too!

If mini fridge availble in the room it will be perfect. We had own vehicle so easy to access there but for people no transport maybe inconvenient to. Love around.
Very low price but room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were all friendly.

Great for an overnight stay. Basic, but had everything I needed. Good location within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, Alor Setar tower and a huge shopping mall. Staff were very helpful.

We stayed 3 nites, no room housekeeping was done despite our request during checkin day. Anyway reception staff was very kind to replace our towels upon request (at night)

there was no lounge with seats at the reception area. i had to wait for quite a while for my room to be ready. The dining table was not so appropriate to wait as the was so much food on the table - probably the was where the staff eat and rest.

The room is no window and bit small.
This property is just next to Dato Dr Mahathir Old House. Good location. We stay that day Kedah many area is facing flood . Lucky here is safe . The room we stay is family suite for 4 person. Inside have bath tub where my kids like it much .

Sink is outside the toilet. Just the room is in small size. Abit difficult to pray.

if travel alone they give you a room with a toilet attach without any separator or door to separate the toilet. direct from bed you can see the toilet. not muslim friendly room type. tq

The room I stayed, the bed was facing the toilet bowl directly, will be better to install a door to block the view. The room is also lack of hook to hang wet towels or clothes. Also, not sure if it's just my room location, the birds outside I think were very noisy from morning till night. Also, might wanna check the aircon (room 111), I can't seems to adjust the temperature which stuck at 16 degrees. Above were minor issues, I do enjoyed my stay overall.
I decided to book this hotel despite limited reviews (it's because they just opened for 5 months) and those reviews are actually very positive. The staffs are really friendly and kind, they offered me discounted price when I decided to extend my stay for second night. It's my first time in AS and this hotel is strategically located near the places I wanted to visit (next to Mahathir House, 7min walk to Chinatown). Since the hotel is new, everything is clean and comfortable.
