The wall hv a bit yellowish stained. Maybe the bedsheet need to change already. Seems like a lot of people used.

I don't understand the RM50 refundable deposit which was required to be paid upon arrival, especially when it is a self check in and check out. Staff are required to come to collect the deposit and then I had to let them know when I was checking out so a staff member would be there to return the money. This is even more perplexing when no check of the room was done before returning the deposit. Other that that it was great.

Proximity to everything. Let access was easy. Very clean and comfortable.

The bathroom had a lot of dead mosquitoes on the wall, which weren’t cleaned beforehand. Also either the walls are really thin or the doors aren’t thick enough, because at night it was really loud, when people were talking in their rooms, in the hallways or when closing the doors.

If there was a problem or any other questions, you could just send a WhatsApp message to the property manager and get a reply in 5-10 min. And if there are any issues with the room within 5 minutes someone from the building was there to fix it.

Room was comfortable and they had the basic necessities. Room wasnt sound proof enough and parking was a bog hassle.

The overall cleanliness of the place could've been better, there were stains and marks on the bed, pillowcase, towels, blankets, walls. The bathroom is pretty crammed and there's not enough space to shower due to the arrangement and the toilet, sink and shower head so I had to direct the shower head to the corner to also prevent water splashes all over and even outside. I understand that it's an affordable option it will affect tall people but otherwise, quite negligible.

The place is good enough for a proper night's sleep. It had the basic amenities, room was just nice and the shower had good water pressure. Comfortable bed and pillows, the room was dark and conducive for a night's sleep. The check in and checkout procedure was very easy just that you've got to whatsapp the number to get replies (I called and no one answered)

A little far from downtown, but no worries as city buses get you there. The area is quiet, there’s lots of street kitchens. We got a top-floor room with 2 windows, it was nice and clean when we arrived…this is rare in Penang at that rate. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. To enter the building you need a code, which you get through WhatsApp when you arrive. My WhatsApp decided to not work so I was standing outside like and had to head next door to a bar to borrow their WiFi, call the hotel, and get the code. No big deal, just a minor inconvenience if you like standing around outside waiting for someone to send you a key code. Once I got in, the place was clean (but didn’t get cleaned for the next 4 nights unless you asked to). However, there was a constant noise that sounded like someone was having a laundry party 24/7. Turns out, the top-floor rooms are right under a huge water tank that can’t be turned off. We were given earplugs to help with the noise, but let’s just say they didn’t work quite as well as hoped. And, to top it off, there’s a bright light under the main door, from the corridor. We ended up shoving a towel there to block it at night. So, yeah, if you like a little adventure with your stay and don’t mind some extra “features,” this place could be a good option! Just don’t forget the earplugs, a towel for the door, and maybe a backup WhatsApp plan.

I had a pleasant stay at this place in Penang. Though it’s not exactly downtown, the city buses make it easy to get around. The area is quiet, good for relaxing after a day of exploring. We were lucky enough to get a top-floor room with a window, and the room was super clean when we checked in which is a rare find in Penang without paying a lot. Also mosquito situation was under control. Communication was very great via WhatsApp, which we appreciated. Once I was inside, the place was clean, and the TV had Netflix and YouTube, though you’ll need your own login for that. Overall, it was an affordable place to stay in Penang, and I’d recommend it if you're looking for something clean and budget-friendly!

Don’t like wet rooms (knew before booking), window was onto the corridor. Even tho is self check in/out, you give a cash deposit so you need a member of staff there either way

only thing which lets this hotel down is constant noise all night which sounds like a washing machine which is very loud on and off. Made it difficult to get to sleep. Also toilet blocked on our first night.

Very clean room and bathroom! Really comfy bed and tv with Netflix:) good location, around 25 minute walk to touristy parts. good WiFi and hot water. Loved this room.

Only issue we had was that there was a smell from the drain in the bathroom, I notified the property management and they were helpful in their response

We enjoyed our stay at The 6N, the room was clean and spacious and looked exactly like the photos. The staff are very responsive via WhatsApp and always happy to help. They have quiet hours which all guests seemed to abide by as we weren’t woken in the early hours with people making noise coming or going. Plenty of places to eat nearby, also near public transport routes to the tourist areas.

The soundproofing needs to be improved because you can hear the toilet in the next room.
