The acomodation is located a few minutes from the main road. It is in a quiet location, so there is no much noise or people walking by, but it is fast and easy to get to the shops and restaurants. In front there is a scooter rental facility, that is very useful to explore the Hills! The room was big and comfortable, with a comfy bed, a table with chair. The toilets and showers are outside, but are clean and come with soap and shampoo. There is a kitchen with a fridge where to keep personal food. The host is a lovely person, such a great guy! He offers coffe and tea all the day, and a simple breakfast with toasted bread, jam and butter. Amazing experience!

The walls are thin and it can be a bit noisy, however Norman provides free earplugs so this was not a problem for us!

I enjoyed everything about my stay here. It was simple, relaxing, and exactly what I needed. Norman is an exceptional host—friendly, helpful, and thorough in explaining everything. If you like it to be quiet in the evenings it’s worth noting that the hostel bar opposite play music until 12 each night, although this isn’t a problem as even here Norman has thought of his guests and makes you aware on check in and provides ear plugs.

Brilliant budget accommodation in a great location, the whole place is spotless, the beds are comfortable, there are plenty of bathrooms and showers for guests to use and complimentary breakfast is provided. The best thing about this guest house is the host Norman, he is fantastic! He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable, has fantastic recommendations for hikes and things to do in the area and is just a genuinely lovely guy. We were so impressed after our first night that we extended our stay.

The rustic My friend and I booked this accommodation for several reasons: location, price and reviews. Norman is a lovely character, smiling, helpful and very generous. It's nice to have owners who love what they do! A great meeting! As for the location, it's perfect. Right in the center of town, a 10-minute walk from the bus station, but on a quiet side street that runs uphill. You can hear the bar next door (a very nice one, by the way) until midnight, then it gets quieter. Finally, what can I say about the price? Perfect for budget travelers! Thanks for a great stay Norman, see you next time !

During the whole period of our stay the WiFi was not working. First the owner told us it would be fixed maybe with a day, but ended up having no WiFi during our stay.

It was close to one of the famous walking tracks in the Cameron Highlands. The owner is friendly. The house is clean.

Host is fantastic, gave us a great tour of the place and was super friendly throughout our stay. The place is extremely well kept. Very clean in all areas and a great outside wash area for muddy boots that we took advantage of. Breakfast and drinks were great. The outside table area is really nice and great to socialise with other guests. Room was large and bed was comfy.

It's worth noting that you have to go outside to use the toilet/shower. This wasn't a problem for us, but some guests might not like this.

Perfect Cameron Highlands base, easy access to everything. Norman is the perfect host, very calm and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer but already had our next accommodation booked. Great value and had everything we needed.

The Rustique guest house is great value in a really great location for exploring the Cameron Highlands! But what makes it truly special is Norman, he was super friendly and helpful, really helping us to settle in and enjoy our brief stay here. Definitely could have stayed a couple of nights longer!

Close to the main street, not too much noise (until there is party in the bar opposite ;). Indeed, very rustique place, thin walls, bathrooms and showers outside the building. Small breakfast included - cereals, milk, tost with butter and jem, tea. Nice owner.

Norman is one of the nicest person we've ever met. The guest house is indeed rustic, but everything is clean and convenient, and if you ever miss anything then Norman is here to help. The vibe is nice and chill, we really felt good and actually extended by one day We also appreciated all the activities he recommended, and the fact that there's some toast and coffee available in the morning for free

NORMAN, the owner is a special person!

This is a basic guesthouse so based on our awareness of that this accomodation was good. However if you aren't expecting the outdoor shared bathrooms or basic wooden house living then this wouldn't be the place for you. Electricity went out a few times which was inconvenient if you needed a shower, Norman would put up emergency lighting so he did everything in his means to compensate. A little noisy at night from local dogs (they were all very friendly cause 0 problems but there's a lot of them in Tanah Rata so they do bark in the early hours). Norman provides earplugs for noises like this.

Comfortable bed, middle of Tanah Rata so good for eating in the evenings, Norman the host was a very kind and genuine man looking after his guests, shared bathrooms kept clean and stocked with toilet paper, shampoo and soap. Free tea and coffee at disposal all day as well as toast and cereal in the morning. Hairdryers available on request. An ideal base for backpackers who are out exploring all day and don't mind basic accomodation.

Nothing, everything was perfect!!

Norman is the best host ever !! He’s the sweetest, we feel like at home and the location is perfect. We also have a free breakfast every morning. We even extended our stay for one night because we loved it so much. Would recommend this place to anybody coming here !
