Breakfast was poor. Not many options of things!

Fantastic location! Staff really friendly, asked for something for my boyfriends birthday and they brought a cake to the door! Rooms very clean and quiet from the road, it’s very close to a busy, lively street but you cannot hear that from the room.

I had a great stay at Yeng Keng. I would like to shout out to the staff for their friendliness and incredible service. Location was good for exploring Georgetown on foot. Room was clean and comfortable, albeit small. Breakfast selection was sufficient, loved the ambiance of the restaurant. As this is a heritage building, residents of rooms on first floor can hear footsteps of those on second floor, you may wish to take note if you are a light sleeper.

A gem of a hotel in a great part of the old town. Staff are so kind and courteous. It was a beautiful, character-filled place to stay in Penang and the pool and air conditioning made it so comfortable.

it's an inviting feel to it, much like being in the home of a wealthy favourite aunt, getting your own room with ensuite, aircon, poolside view, excellent bathing shower facility with a nice restaurant nearby and surrounded by attentive staff,

Nothing not to like.

Serenity in the heart of the nightlife. The quality was superb, staff were excellent, setting was perfect with no awareness of being just 200 metres from the busy bars of Chulia Street, even late at night sat in the courtyard. Would highly recommend!

The property is a heritage hotel and you feel it every step you take in the property. The rooms and the halls even stairs have many details that makes you feel you stay in a heritage hotel. Although the age the property was well maintained.

There is not much room for suitcases.

The location was 100%.Handy to anywhere. The Staff were both efficient and helpful. Comments have been made about no shade over the pool but we didnt find that a problem at all

Extend open pool hours if possible. Or, if noise is a factor, establish an early/ate adult quiet lap swim to keep noise to a minimum.

Comforatble bed. Public places/spaces to do work or relax with a book outside of the confines of the room. Clean pool.

Rooms at the ground floor can be noisy, ask for an upper floor. There was also some smell in the room. Breakfast was not so intercontinental, the western part could be improved

What a fantastic hotel , so beautifully restored ! A piece of history . Lovely room , staff , pool and location was great . Thank you ! And even went to trouble to Contact me when I left my sunglasses and arrange their return . Feel very lucky to have stayed here ! Great value !

We stayed for 2 nights but breakfast was completely the same. Not even one menu changed. It will be better if they change some of the menu so guests can enjoy more.

The lovely staff

Lovely attentive staff, great location and lovely room. Can be a little noisy at night purely because of location, but I think it’s a small price to pay for the convenience of being on the Main Street! Would highly recommend
