How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewthe location is top notch with good road accessibility i also like the fact that alot of upgrade has been done compare to how it was last year when i came with my wife. I honestly recommend this for travelers who want a serene environment to stay on their visit to nigeria
the only thing i dont like was the other guy in the next room who happen to be trouble some by playing loud music. though i reported him to the host and it was settled and i never get to have issues again

I can’t begin to express my displeasure and disappointment with this property. Has so much potential but a few too many factors killed it. On booking the apartment online, it doesn’t indicate it’s not shared. You see “entire apartment is yours” and this is for the price indicated on the app. You proceed to book and a contact line is shared, after reaching out you will be asked if you want to go for big or smaller room and the price… a big jump from what is put on the app. I indicated my interest still and started my journey to the property. On getting there I loved what I saw only for me to be told I couldn’t book for less than 3 nights for a start and if I couldn’t meet up I had 15 to leave because it was closing period for the staffs. I had travelled all the way from Ogun and had to beg like a thief before they told me I would have a grace till 12am midnight. I initially made payments for the two nights and I was told until I made the last payment I wouldn’t have access to internet connection. Can you imagine??? I had to sort that out before the deadline to avoid embarrassment. After the house keeper had left I started inspecting the property. I started from the kitchen, it was a mess, the freezer was so dirty I had to start cleaning it up. The cooking spoons, normal cutleries, pots and plates were dirty. I had to rewash and soak all in hot water, soap and salt. My highlight was the blender, it had a very horrible stench with meat stuck around the blade. I have pictures to back up all of my claims. I reached out and all I was offered was “so sorry” and I should soak the blender with hot water and liquid soap. Was that meant to be my duty in the first place????? Which I did anyways and it appeared clean only for me to blend pepper and after pouring it out I saw pieces of the meat had come loose from beneath the blade hence there was a possibility that it had mixed up with the pepper mix. Irritating and frightening. Blackouts. Till today, all I got was sorry.

My deposit of £20/N40,000 was withheld on the pretence that the front door entrance key had been removed to the inside door by my Guest and therefore the door had to be forced open from the outside. This was untrue as twe were explicitly told on arrival that the front door key is left in the front door on the outside (itself a great security risk to Guest as anyone approaching the front door from the outside can walk in, as the key is available to anyone living in the development of at least 8 Town Houses in the development!). My Guest never removed the front door key from where it was originally left and Mary the Proprietor refused to provide CCTV Evidence! I note that on the 28th of November 2023 another Foreign Guest complained of a fraudulent scam. I will caution Foreigners to beware! Dirty Linen and Bedsheet Wifi was intermittent There were occasional blackouts It had shared facilities, Kitchen and dining and lounge facilities which we were not aware from the description

Please note the damage fee deposit was not refunded because the guest burnt our bed linens, broke several kitchen utensils and also losing the keys to the apartment even when instructions were given on how to handle the keys. The guest did not report any of this incident to us. As you are aware, after making a reservation Damage fee is required and it is meant to repair every damages caused by a guest during their stay and this guest caused quite a lot of damages. Which the guest was unapologetic about. For the security aspect, your guest was very okay with the place as the security is 24/7, with no unauthorized entry. The guest never complained about feeling unsafe even for a day. Once again thank you for the feedback we appreciate it a lot.

Verified reviewThe apartment is in a great location—quiet, secure, and well-situated. The water heater in the shower was a nice bonus.
The apartment had a permanent stench, dirty bedsheets, and a defective dustbin. Key amenities like WiFi and TV connection were missing. The kitchen was dirty, with overflowing garbage, so I didn’t use it. Many items from my previous stay, like the hallway TV and mirror, were gone, and overall hygiene had declined drastically. The wonderful staff, Monday was no longer there.

lack of a mini fridge in the room for shared kitchen apartments. it is essential for safe keeping of cooked food in your own space and not in a shared fridge where other have access to.
