The bathroom is shared, which is fine, however, other individuals using it were not the cleanest/respectful, so it was frustrating to to have to clean the toilet seat after they used it. However, THIS WAS NOT THE OWNER'S FAULT AT ALL.

Right across the street from the ocean. The owners were very nice. The rooms and bathroom were ok, but if they got a fresh coat of paint (white to make everything fresher), and walls were scrubbed clean, (dirt in crevices of bathroom wall) it would make a big difference!! Overall, for the price we paid ($40 cad/night) it met our requirements. Owners were very flexible in our checkout time, which was great!

Shared bathroom was fine but leaky toilet and sink need attention. Not the property owners problem but mosquitoes and biting flies are irritating. Be sure sure to have repellent and use it.

The location is perfect on the north side. It is a bit further from the main areas but you are still within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The peaceful surroundings are worth it. Taxis are very cheap but beware if you are out late as they don’t always work after hours. You can also rent bicycles and scooters. The property is right on the water and so beautiful. Our hosts were lovely and will go beyond to take care of your needs.

We enjoyed our stay but if you're expecting a luxury resort, this is not the place for you.

The location was outstanding! I wanted to do some snorkeling and access was right across the street where we saw two huge eagle rays, a skate, and a plethora of colorful reef fish. By renting a bicycle we were able to go all over the island. I actually had a issue with the rental bike and Francisco, the husband of the couple who owns the property, helped to fix it. They are a lovely couple with sweet kids.

Very basic but cheap accommodation in the north of the island. Staff are friendly and there are a number of places to eat about 5/10 mins away.

Lovely bright colors, hammock on the porch, almost cool enough to sleep without the fan (but I heard a bug buzzing at night so I turned it on). 2 sinks Good mattress You can hear the ocean Cute dogs welcoming you/guarding the property Claro SIM card worked The host and her fam live downstairs and are really friendly, but give you privacy.

Extremely unreliable wifi, very uncomfortable pillows. Also no other guests so no chance of meeting other travellers (this could have been due to it being just before rainy season). I was just chilling for a few days here but if you’re looking to meet other people I would stay closer to downtown

Good size room with double bed and everything you could need (including self contained kitchen with full cooking equipment/utensils/fridge) and towel provided. Friendly owner. Directly in front of the beach. Close to a couple of places to eat and on a road that taxis pass along frequently.

It was just kinda basic but was easy to come and go and what you pay for. It worked great for our 1 night before our flight back.

It was a great location, right across the street from decent snorkeling and you could walk in either direction to get to quite a few food options, including a really good bakery to the left and to the right, a lady who has a shack on the side of the road who serves a great breakfast. The host was friendly and helpful and got our room ready early and watched our bags in between while we snorkeled. The room had a coffee maker that worked and the bathroom down the porch was really clean and had good water pressure. The view from the front top deck was lovely.

There was no hand soap, the toilet flush was broken, and some insects in the bathroom. Not many areas to chill.

I liked that it was hosted by locals and I could learn more about the culture. The host was super nice and helpful and let me use their everything in the kitchen! Also it’s not located on the touristy area so it was a calm environment. Close to a good bakery where you can try nice coconut bread!

Some taxi driver do not want to drive to the other side of the island. A scooter or bike therefore can be helpful to be a bit more flexible.

The beds are very comfortable and the location across the road from the beach is great. A short walk to restaurants and grocery stores. We did not use them but there was a fridge and a coffee maker in the room.

staff weren’t great, check in involved getting a key and being shown to my room, no conversation or anything about the island and then a knock at the door three days later asking for the key-that was check out… the room also felt quite grimy/unclean, it was very hot and I was woken up by a cockerel every morning at 5am(!)

Arlene, her daughter and grandson Schneider were all so nice & helpful. the room was big and not too hot , had a fan. about 10 mins walk to seafood grill - we had breakfast and relaxed on beach by seafood grill for a few hours. 1 dollar each in a taxi took us to picnic beach for afternoon and sunset and to the boat next morning.

My family and I(4 people total) arrived on Friday 18th 2025 afternoon to Corn Island with no hotel reservation. I found Alal Suites on bookings and inmediately could book one triple room available and could call Mrs. Arlen Hodgson, the landlord. Mrs. Hodgson was extremely kind with us and even gave us a ride on her personal car from the port to the hotel, as we did not know the place at all. The place is really nice, you are practically in front of the beach and the weather is really fresh as there is a lot fresh wind in the zone. The island is about 12km long, so the location is not far from other places in the island. I did a walk in the morning and felt a real caribbean environment!Really loved it!. I highly recommend this place to stay. Mrs. Hodgson's hostel feels very familiar and she is very kind. The price is competitive compared to other prices in bookings.com . They have a very Clean space. No luxury, but a nice place to rest after your adventures in the island, which to me was more than enough. I extended my stay to one more day As I wanted to enjoy the island a little bit more.

The whole place was a bit old and not really well maintained.. we booked a twin room, it was advertised as a 2-bed room with kitchen but it was actually a one bed room with a kitchen (the 2 bed room was without kitchen facilities).. We talked with the owner about the island and the fact that there wasn't really a beach to lie down in the sun and she said the wind and rough sea ate away all the beaches..we booked our ticket sooner because of that, but we found out later on there was a wonderful long beach with calm water on the other side of the island.. I think as a resident of the island she should have told us that!

Everything! The family who run it are the loveliest people and made us feel so welcome - the early check in and ability to check out later was really appreciated. They were honestly so kind and friendly The location was right near the water and was beautiful.

The rental room was not even close to how it was advertised. Holes between wall boards allowed for mosquitoes to come in at night. Bathroom was to be private but ended up shared with someone else. Salt water pool ended up being a few rocks placed in ocean to create a cavity. Very disappointed. Would not stay there again.

Such a lovely place to stay , Francisco was super helpful and great to chat to, showed us the garden with an abundance of fruits , definitely check it out. Give chula the doggy cuddles she loves it. Our room was perfect, had our own little kitchen, bathroom and balcony. Lovely sea breeze. We stayed for 3 nights at first then came back when our ferry to little corn broke down shortly after leaving the harbour. Stayed another 3 nights. Would recommend staying here the location is fab .

There is no beach very close to the accommodation.

Really friendly hosts. We could check-in upon our arrival which was early in the morning. The room was very spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Everything was clean, the mattress was comfortable. Ocean view from the balcony. There are some restaurants within walking distance, for everything else there are taxis driving past every couple of minutes.

Super cool colorful house with comfortable rooms and beachfront access. The host family was so friendly and helpful! It felt more like a home instead of a hostel. So grateful for my stay there! There is a bakery nearby too where you can get delicious pastries every day and a coral reef where you can go and snorkel!
